Thanks for a detail video. It's very helpful for me to prepare for my long ride in May.

Thanks for the info. Doing my first Century July 25 2021 my birthday 68yrs. From what I can understand you're doing the Century non stop and eating as you go. I'm doing mine with a 45 mile non stop, celebrating in Laguna Beach (one hour feast with champagne) and finishing the 55 miles with one 15 min stop in Long Beach for a beer, t hen 26 miles home.
I do a lot of electrolyte replenishing since the temp will be in the 80's here in Los Angeles.

Thank you for the video. Just in time for me to watch this. I have been cycling about a year and I am planning for first century ride near future.
I have been on Zwift 100 miles average per week last 6 months. Then lately I have been mixing it up with some Zone 2 training (30-40 miles/session) on Zwift, and some long rides out in the field with club member friends. The most mileage I have done outside is 60 miles done few weeks ago, and I felt fine afterwards, almost to the point I could go another 20 or 30. Then last weekend I did about 48 miles with more than 4000 ft elevation. It was brutal yet I was able to finish it.
Do you think it's ok to go for century ride or should I still do 75-80 first then go for 100? I would appreciate your insight.

Just found your channel and really enjoy your content and delivery with humor!
Do you take any drink additives? I notice GU Gel with Salted Caramel has the most Sodium, thought would be goof because I suffer from leg cramps on long runs, any advice on that? Or maybe another topic for a video?

I’ve been road cycling for 37 yrs and just signed up for my first century this coming February’24. The jalapeño 100. I ride 28 miles a day, which takes me 1hr 35min on average. Then on weekends I’ll go 60 miles then take one day off. I think I’m ready for my first century however I’ll take the advice & go that extra 5 miles each week.
