Very helpful tips here, I've been hunting an old site where soldiers stayed before a 1777 battle.

I'm using the high conductor mode, sensitivity set at 21, all metal mode, using 5 tone. Ground balancing, and using noise cancelling as well, man am I impressed with the results. I don't like knocking out the iron because ALOT of items ( like buckles ) are iron from this time period. One other note, I'm using the small 8" coil.

I bought this Manticore last year, and honestly its the best detector I've ever used,. absolutely AMAZING results. I enjoy videos like this to see what others are using, with set up, great video.

Why is it that when I go on Digger Dan and Lucs pages for their settings they do not resemble these?

Hello. I dig on the beaches of the Baltic Sea. The water is low in salt compared to other seas. What is your opinion on what soil balance to set in my case? And what are the most suitable settings? I dig only on dry land. Thank you.

On ancient land bud i was just notch 0-2 out up to 4 you can miss small gold and small saxons depending on soil conditions 👌

I would not notch out 1 to 4, i found coins at 2, ik you look at Merrils Manticore id bible some gold 14k rings come in at 4. Nice video tho

Ancient small gold can come in below 4...if you ground balance manually u can actually run the sensitivity higher...the stabiliser actually reduces depth and clarity of signal...ive had mine since last April and have found just about everything...far better than the Nox 800 i had for four years before, i tend to use sensitivity 26 or slightly higher if ground allows...the M9 coil is better in heavy iron and i use recovery 6 always....
