Final Fantasy X-3 OFFICIAL Update From Square! BOOOOOOO...

I think they should stay focused on all the ff7 remake games until they jump into something else. It would be quite annoying to have them drop ff7 halfway through the story, work on another title for 5+ years then come back to it. I mean, maybe they have the manpower to do it, but I'm not that interested and would rather they get ff7 remake done proper.

I'm a huge fan of FFX, but i'm not even sure i want a FFX-3.
FFX-2 was a disappointment to put it mildly and i dont want them to build up on that and setting up another failure. The only way i can see this going without being a disaster is making it a prequel to FFX and narrate the story of Braska and how he met Jecht and they went on their own Journey to defeat Sin. But then again, this premise suffers from the fact that the player already knows whats going to happen. There is no room for surprises and plot twists, so the game could just end up being a more predictable, boring version of FFX but with prettier grafics.

The only possible disappointment would be getting an X-3. After the state of X-2 and -Will-, I never want Square to touch X's setting and characters again.

I would adore a x-3 but honestly I was just pleasantly surprised to get x/x-2 on the switch:

FF9 was more my cup of tea and I would prefer more things like Tactics, Octopath, or bravely default. However I also enjoyed the two x games so I can enjoy another. I believe a prequel of Jecht’s story is more desirable. I like sequels I like the idea of characters stories not simply ending.

If it has to be a sequel. I hope they can expand upon the farplane a bit. I would like to explore the world of the farplane a bit. A place where fabled warriors lay to rest after their defeat by sin.

Legendary weapons are commonplace. Endgame weapons will have to be divine class, a radiant glow effect to let the player know this is the best weapon. Flavour text for lore.

The farplane should have greater fantasy elements with its lack of physics. Edge of the world, crystal forests, floating islands, underwater cities, world tree, a futuristic underground secret laboratory, reverse waterfalls, fields of flowers, villages that mimic villages as they once were in reality. A place where airships aren’t commonplace.

The player should be able to explore both the farplane and the overworld. Final fantasy games tend to be very linear. Perhaps this game can change that by giving the player multiple quests and villages that they can go to at any given time. A tier system for the villages. The roads leading to them are balanced for players between x-y level and they sell gear with that in mind. Rare/hard to find items can go above these recommendations.

Most important thing is to give the characters a really good reason for leaving retirement. Perhaps the farplane is beginning to overlap with reality.

I honestly don't mind either way. If we don't get a Final Fantasy X-3, okay. If we do, okay.

Dude its been more than a decade... If they were gonna make another sequel it wouldve been done by now

After reading FFX 2.5, I would be okay if they just keep their hands off of FFX in general as 2.5 basically bastardized Tidus and shit on everything that made the story great. Let's just remember the good times and hope to see a VII remaster soon.

Final Fantasy X is my favourite game of all time so of course I would love a X-3. However, I don't think it will work unless they did it as a prequel.
Seeing an older Tidus and Yuna and the story being about Auron, Jecht's and Braska's journey would be amazing.

i love FFX badly enough to just want more of it. good or bad. really. x-2 was kinda shit. but i honestly just want more of the world/characters/story anyways

People there is more to the story than just x and x-2. Didn't anyone read the final fantasy novel, and listen to the audio story in the game?

It would be a dream come true If this happened. The gameplay was so perfect and the world It would fit perfectly like a glove and sell ALOT of copies.

Final Fantasy X deserved a Third installment way more than XIII.

I want to play X3. Minus some of the mini games that were awful. But the arc and characters were the best in the franchise

They don’t have to continue the story but rather explore the past more like how yu yevon came to be or maybe explore the story of some people who lived in old zanarkand and bevelle 😞 ah I really loved everything about the world of spira

If they make a X-3 make it a happy ending or let Yuna and Tidas die together and LEAVE the title alone after that. Not all FF need a sad ending

If this is a thing I rather a prequel; on the machina war like the start of it and during it and about the start of the yeavon teachings yes we know how it all happens but never got to experience it ; I mean ff7 had like a bunch of other games sharing different point of view from different characters while in ff10 we’re here to guess and image and listen to a bunch of foreshadowing; damnit I wanna see plus I’d like to learn more about that scholar that forgets everything who knows he could’ve been part of the plots leading into war who knows; I mean all in all I think it be a way better storyline and more interesting than if Titus and Yuma get married( we already got a happy ending) those are my thoughts on that

That ffx 2.5 sucked... my favorite game of all time was ffx and still is that said I want a ffx 3 I just dont want square anywhere near it

Would love to see the sphere grid again and the x battle system. Can think a a ton of ideas to continue the story. Like perhaps Lulu and Wakkas child grows up to be a power hungry Villian and the group. I recently bought a switch lite to play x and x2 again on the go. Love the characters
