The fate of John Connor | Terminator 3 [Open Matte 1.78:1]

I always wondered why didn’t they get the original actor who played John Conner for this movie as well.

This movie was the last time the franchise made a lick of sense, even with its plot holes, coincidences and outrageous inconsistencies.

Termiantor 1: Horror, they didn't know what was coming.

Terminator 2: Hope they have the chance to change something.

Terminator 3: End of the World, you couldn't stop what was coming. That's why part 3 makes sense.

I love all 3 parts.

See, I kinda have an issue buying that a hardened warrior, leader of mankind, who lived for decades with the knowledge that skynet and its units will use every tactic in the book to win, would fall for something like that.

What?! 😅

So the T-850 is protecting John now because if John dies before the war, the T-850 would literally have no reason to exist and would wink out. No John during the war, no reason to create the T-850 to kill him.

Open matte makes this movie look terrible. There's no framing whatsoever. Looks more like a TV show than Sarah Connor Chronicles did 😂

Kate: So if this war is between humans and machines, why are you on our side?
T800: John Connor didn't fill you in?

There’s some good stuff in T3, but damn, does it look cheap and uninspired compared to the first two, and even Salvation. The bland lighting and lack of color grading makes it look like an episode of Buffy or 90210, not a Terminator movie where Judgement Day is right around the corner. Certainly not the worst in the series, but they really lost something without Cameron at the helm.

This is probably the coolest twist of the third movie. That skynet picks T800 for assassinating John due to childhood attachment. For anyone who's seen the second movie the emotional weight makes total sense. And then it's captured and reprogrammed and sent back in time.. "We will meet again.."

Technically John learning that particular part of the future allowed him to as he described in Genysis "cheat" the game.

What I don't get is how did Skynet know John had an emotional attachment to the T800 in T2?

I hate how the T850’s “I killed you” aged so poorly after Salvation

so the T800 factory only produced Arnies that ages with time

John Connor dying on the same date as the Founding Fathers of the United States is insane for his role in the future war

2023 i felt like i was going to die, nothing insaid mattered and ibhad become pretty aware i was screwed over a lot, i got the ultra fucked up short stick

if your gonna kill off john, this is the best way to do it.
skynet knew that john saw the t-800 as a father and like a smart villian would do, they took advantage of that and sent a t-850 that looked just like the t-800 from t2 to kill future john, it's smart and makes sense (and writing wise, it also makes sense with bringing arnold back)
having a random t-800 spawn out of nowhere just to shotgun blast john doesn't make sense, epically if skynet no longer exists.

That really is such a heavy moment.
This is the one-Terminator that succeeded in it's primary mission.
The ironic thing is, when he says that if his mission fails, he would become useless is actually an inevitability. He and every Terminator like him his programmed to kill John Connor. If he succeeded, he would have nothing left; he would also become useless.

All I see when I see John Connor in this movie is Bobby Kent

In the motel scene in T1, Kyle's hand is injured & teaches sara how to make bombs. In this scene, the t-850 is educating kate while john is making bombs

Sitting back and watching this in 2003 thinking when Schwarzenegger said July 4th 2032 me thinking that was a long time from then and now its 2025 me thinking now 2032 isn't so far away anymore its only like 8 years from now i feel old.

IDC what this movie says, John Connor is alive at the end where Skynet's defense grid was smashed. Terminator: resistance got that right. lol

I think the T850 was programmed to not answer johns questions on purpose to preserve whatever postitive edfects happened in the future. If he were to tell him certain stuff he would act differently potentially fuckkin up what in the future
