ОтветитьI like yellow because 🍌
😂😂😂😂
Wouldn't vinegar already help as a more mild cleaning solution for the battery stuff? Oh nevermind, you did both. :)
ОтветитьAnother device saved from E-waste hell😊
Wouldn't mind it if you posted some more video's of you playing guitar 😉
Take care with soaking in vinegar. If you leave the wires attached the acid can wick up the wires far enough that no amount of rinsing will remove it. It will slowly eat away at the wires under the insulation.
ОтветитьYou can't beat a little bit of GRRR!!! in your sound. Nice fix squire.
ОтветитьJust an FYI if it helps someone, Dodd pedals will exhibit a similar initial behavior by design.
If you leave a cable plugged in when running off battery the LED will stay on, I assume to let you know there is phantom drain. I bought a "broken" American Metal that had absolutely no issues because of this little quirk.
Nice going Jan :)
ОтветитьIm guessing the contact inside the tac switch is corroded, you can slice the stubs off, to get into them, then melt them again with a soldering iron, that 4007 chip is three pairs of mosfets, I would of just soldered a new battery terminal on, they are like really cheap, for a tube screamer clone it didnt seem to have much gain, it was barely breaking up. Ive got a DF7 it emulates seven overdrives in one pedal, my fav on it was the Boss DS2.
ОтветитьLove your channel. I also try to fix my devices, any electronic device. Thanks for your effort and videos
ОтветитьSome day they might come up with a battery that doesn't leak and destroy contacts and PCBs, though I have a feeling that day may never come... :P
ОтветитьTotally remember the short hype about this thing. Jeez.
ОтветитьMaybe the leakage was caused by the broken switch? If it stayed on then the battery would drain and then be more likely to leak (causing even more damage)
ОтветитьWhere did you learn to speak English Jan? I presume it started at school but in any case your English is very very good.
Ответить🎸👏
ОтветитьI've been watching your videos, pretty much since day one, and not just because you use one of my favourite games on the C64, the "Flip And Flop" music, during your intros. You go out of scope at times and I find you have other similar interests, such as guitar. Awesome job on the clean/fix! Wish I had one of these Bad Monkey pedals. Ein Prosit from Canada!
ОтветитьHi Jan, I am in the EU… do you offer a repair service? I have two Atari ST computers, one Amiga 1200, and several floppy drives I would like to get repaired.
Happy to pay of course but as you’re a guitarist like me, I think I have some gear you may be interested in
