Thank you Doctor for sharing your wisdom with us.
ОтветитьYup, always listen to Doctors!
ОтветитьShould diabetes fast?
Ответитьmore of this type of content please
ОтветитьThe dawn effect
ОтветитьI am so confused
ОтветитьDoes it mean if you have the opposite that you are not insulin resistant? I mean I get low blood sugar dips all the time even few hours after a meal. I dont do well on low carb because of this. Im planning to get a CGM to see what is going on...
ОтветитьI need more information about this because it makes no sense.
ОтветитьI did not get that… what you mean fast enough? Enough hours or enough days?
ОтветитьHow long do you need to FAST to level out blood sugar
ОтветитьI thought a deficiency in magnesium cause the liver to produce excess glucose. There's also a need for that same magnesium that's deficient to get it into the cell
ОтветитьSame case with me
Ответитьin digital glucometer my fasting glucose is 105 and random after 2 hrs meal is 104. how to lower fasting sugar ? pleas let me know
ОтветитьSpot on doc. My bgl goes up even after brisk walk and exercise. I'm type 2.
ОтветитьSo fasting is good for your blood sugar?
ОтветитьSo hoot to know. Ty!
ОтветитьYes it happened to me. My blood sugar would go down after my first meal it was crazy. Now my blood sugar is in yhe 80s and 90s after fasting before it was in the 140s
ОтветитьI just finish breakfast at 7.53 am and I plan to not eat again until same time next day
ОтветитьThat is😊 dawn 😊phenomenon
Ответитьright on !
ОтветитьThanks.i was waiting to find put that info...fast till tea time, and my blood glucose monitor looks like mountains....I'll keep going.
ОтветитьOk so we're supposed to practically starve? Um... it's OK if it's my time to go I will. Bye.

ОтветитьI have reverve problem my blood sugar do not rise even after eating meals
ОтветитьThank you doc! I took a test and it was 6.8 and ive been fasting daily for three months. Basically, 16-8 or even 23 hours sometimes. I felted so bummed after it. I've cut out sugar significantly, drastically reduced bread intake to twice and i dont snack or eat deserts. I guess i need to be consistent with my fast. What is "enough" though?
ОтветитьAt 4:30pm I do 3 different exercise sessions for 10 minutes every 2 hours until I go to bed. I have cut off food at that time. I may have a few gulps of my protein shake.
ОтветитьSo, need to train ourselves become insulin sensitive?
ОтветитьI am following OMAD but my morning fasting sugar is not coming down from 117. Don't know it is dawn phenomenon or I am insulin resistant.
Ответитьnot necessarily, when you wake up with a bump in blood sugar its due to the dawn phenomonon. this happens to everyone who gets a good night sleep
ОтветитьThat's gluconeogenesis. The liver produces glucose from non carbohydrate sources during fasting. Fats or proteins are used as sources of energy being converted to glucose. Glucose level in the blood increase if body is unable to use or metabolize the glucose produced by the liver as a form of energy. That's called insulin resistance.
ОтветитьWow ive learned so much from your videos sir thanks so much for sharing 🎉
ОтветитьDoes that means people who are bedridden are doomed with insulin resistants?
ОтветитьThankyou very helpful .
ОтветитьClean your liver
ОтветитьThank you for this bit of information, doctor. Very helpful. I’m recently diagnosed and in my second week of wearing a CGM, and I think I now have that last critical piece of information I needed. I might be able to stay with it now and believe I’m on the right track.
ОтветитьBlood sugar rises as you get closer to waking up. It’s your body‘s way of energizing you for the day. The doctor should know this.
ОтветитьI don’t fully understand
Is constant blood sugar level a good thing or bad thing?
Please elaborate more ❤
Good information
ОтветитьOr just eat 3 meals very low carb and meat based no seed oils and lose weight that fixes the problem too no need to fast !
ОтветитьI have been told that intermittent fasting is the way to improve your health if you are insulin resistant. I would not; however, recommend that a diabetic person start with a 16-hour fast. Start small and work your way up to larger fasting times to prevent large overnight blood sugar spikes, which can be detrimental to your overall health.
ОтветитьI thought it was the dawn Phenomenon that raised your blood sugar in the morning!!
Ответить"If you fast enough"
Key words
Thank you Doctor
ОтветитьHow long does one have to fast in order for their blood sugar to go down. I am pre-diabetic with an A1C of 5.7.
ОтветитьI fasted for about 18 hours. My glucose level was 101. How long do I have to fast for it to come back down to below 100?
ОтветитьIt is called Dawn phenomena. You can look it up on the internet. When you wake up, your body puts out counter regulatory hormones like epinephrine, norepinephrine, growth hormone, and cortisol. Your body is preparing for the day, and it is normal to see your sugar go up in the morning to a certain extent, despite fasting.this is typically more pronounced in diabetics who have large glycogen stores and insulin resistance. As you eat less carbs and fast, this problem will slowly improve as you decrease carbohydrate load and become more insulin sensitive. By the way, stress in any form, including pain, infection, and emotional stress, will increase your cortisol levels and, therefore , increase your sugars.
ОтветитьOur bodies are smarter than we are.
Ответить4-27-2025. THIS IS WHAT I AM HEARING. That diabetes and Insulin Resistance are two separate things. You can have diabetes , but not be insulin resistant. NO ONE seems to say how to get rid of the insulin resistance. They only talk about how to get the diabetes under control. TO ME, those are two different subjects. Please correct me if!
ОтветитьMy blood sugar is 153 even though I’m fasting for 20 hours now. Ketones are 1.0. What is going on??
Ответитьcould someone give the link to the original video
