Agree with your points. I love mine and I think I have said “this is a really good bike” every time I have ridden the bike.
ОтветитьChase definitely rode it more
ОтветитьThe fully integrated Enve stem. Is that proprietary?
Can you run the cables like the new Aspero with a 3rd party spacer kit?
Traveling would suck with this bike
The more you say "like" in a sentence, the lower IQ you appear to have.
ОтветитьI know your channel is pretty small still but your reviews are highly underrated. When people are looking to buy a bike and they're all individual reviews (ie. here's a review on the Crux or here's a review of the Checkmate), they all focus on just that bike. Which is cool but when you're shopping for a new bike it's all about the comparisons between different bikes. Sure the Crux is the lightest but I'm not sure it's the best bike for me but a review focusing on the Crux will say "OMG, lightest ever, so much fun"... but in reality it sounds like the MOG is probably the better bike for most folks just looking to enjoy some gravel riding. Keep up the great reviews (and it'd be cool to see a Fray review even if you can't really fit one)!
ОтветитьCan you fit thunderburts in the crux ?
Ответить10 reasons it sucks followed by we really like the Mog…LOL
ОтветитьThe weight difference between this and the crux can’t be that much different. ½-1lb with the same build kit and tires.
ОтветитьSo, she hated the frame storage for no apparent reason? That's very irrational thinking. It's better if you can exclude her from anymore future discussions.
ОтветитьJust built a MOG. Size 56, XX RD, 46T chainring with Force wide crank 107bcd power meter. On 2.2 conti race kings. Coming from the gen1 Aspero. Couple things —— I run sw recon lace size 44 (cleat pushed all the way back) and no toe overlap on 165mm cranks. But you could have overlap on longer cranks. The 2.2 tire hairs hit all sides of the frame in the front and rear. Closest spot is the seat tube which is around 3-4mm. The storage is much nicer in that the down tube is proportionally sized and not obnoxious. I’d rather it not have all the mounting bolts, just the top tube bag. Also would be nice if they just made BBs mtb sized at this point. It’s more slack than a crux but that’s a cross/gravel bike…. and since the top tube is longer you can put a shorter stem and it’ll feel similar. the crux is definitely lighter but bare bones really…. And probably slower in reality in stock version given the aero profile. The crux can’t fit 2.1s unless you cut the knobs down. And current large gravel tires aren’t comparable to race kings and thunder b’s
ОтветитьIt looks awesome. I like matt finish, so this incredible expensive frame has a bonus for me! And made in America and it seems to be an excellent frame. Have much fun with it! 😉
Ответить"every gravel bike should be able to fit 2.1"/50mm tires otherwise I just don't want ride it" - amen to this!!
Every time that now I see a new gravel bike release and I see 45-47mm tire clearance I immediately go "ok... not interested".
Love your videos. It’s just the little things like “yes you can run a normal Red crank” that are super useful. I’m thinking of building one of these up and that was absolutely one of my questions and you’ve just answered it. Keep up the good work guys!!
ОтветитьMain issue with the MOG IMHO is… the color / paint scheme… so dull & boring… too bad
Ответитьenve needs to redesign their seatpost saddle clamp because its crap
ОтветитьLoved the video… I’m building a MOG right now, and I agree on your comments. Would you have a suggestions of nice wheels for this bike? Thinking on some Rovals CLX ii or the new reserve GR 40.
ОтветитьExcellent review! Congratulations. Every bike has its customers, but there are definitely thousands of bikes with the same specs for much less!
ОтветитьPass Quest LFG!
ОтветитьWhy don't u put -17 stem on it ?
ОтветитьThanks Jesse for the great customer service on the phone today! I'm stoked to be picking up my new bike!! ZFS-5 BABY
ОтветитьAny ETA on a Thunder Burt 2.1 transparent sidewall restock? They’re out of stock everywhere, including QBP. Figured I’d pay full price and support your channel, but y’all don’t have them either! I blame Dylan Johnson and you guys.
Anyways. Love my MOG. love your videos. Salient points across the board.
Whoever does the editing gets a thumbs up. Like if Vic Berger or Tim & Eric decided to do bike vids.
ОтветитьToe clip overlap is also relative to the tire that you use. I have a 54cm Mog. Zero overlap with 700x45mm, some overlap with 700x47mm, lots of overlap with the "big boy" Thunder Burt 700x2.1
ОтветитьHello bicycle station. I think enve provide a -17° stem to have the stack much lower. Really appreciate your contents 🙂🙂
ОтветитьGreat honest vid trio 😇
ОтветитьWhat is the depth of the enve aero bar on the tops? 50mm?
ОтветитьEnve Mog is far superior bike than the crux, frame storage and integrated cable superb. Got Enve G23 with 45 for all day all ride and enve ses 3.4 for smother ride, Sram red mullet 10*50. Enve Mog is the best all around bike. Bike 17.2 lbs with pedals 😅
ОтветитьStack heights have gotten way too low imo, due mainly to us amateurs buying the same frames as pros. I see very few people around me with propper bent elbows on slammed SL7/8’s. I have this bike and the stack is exactly the same as my cervelo r series from 6 years ago.
Ответитьwhat do you think about the mog vs the stigmata?
ОтветитьI rented a MOG for a week in Girona, Spain (from Velodrom). Was set up with SRAM 2x. I had a blast outside of following some gravel routes that had me walking through wheat fields some of the time 🤣. Internal storage is a pretty nice trick. Bike felt great and did everything I asked of it.
ОтветитьHey team, what spacers are you running on the cranks either side with that road standard set please?
ОтветитьMost road bikes have toe-overlap is small sizes. It isn't that bad, because you rarely tilt your handlebars "in the wrong" way. But using fenders make it even worse. I always kicked it. ^.^
ОтветитьStill loving the MOG i ordered from you guys 5 months ago! Had the Crux for a couple years before buying the MOG, and aside from the Crux being lighter I feel like the MOG is better in just about every other way.
ОтветитьThe color makes it 5 pounds lighter for sure.. I like it!
