By employers....all the time. Spouse? Some times. I've grown to not really care much about any of it. But if you come at me, with purpose....in time you'll regret it. I'm a patient man. Patient and good at planning/plotting.

Silence is best no matter what i like for the person to feel awkward and stupid when the response is crickets. I dont care.

Sounds like a slave mother giving her child survival training! My mother gave me this lesson! Now at 80 years old I give a dam what a white person thinks about anything I say or do!

She said a whole lot of nothing. She should have taken her own advice and be silent. Waste of 45 seconds of my life.

I do this! Especially as I’ve gotten older. I just move on

Not a very scientific way to see things

Silence has kept me from getting raged on and worse. I don't give a single F if someone disrespects me. That's their problem. I don't demand respect from anyone; that's how victims speak. I live my own life, treat people well and silently move on from those who don't.
There's no way I will risk my physical or emotional safety just because someone doesn't respect me.

They say silence is golden!
However, this same silence can also be criminal or appeasing!
It is also said that "silence is the best answer for a fool!"
May we be granted the wisdom and fortitude to discern each scenario aright!

That’s a whole lot of self-awareness to juggle in the heat of the moment

Somehow i read “defaulting to science” and thought this was going to be a really weird one for Big Think

When someone is disrespectful to the point im angry about it, i simply put that person beneath me. I remind myself that you can only honestly hate your equals and that peasant is only worthy of my pity. I need no respect except from those I love and respect myself.
