Albania is a very dangerous country with crime & a government that have relation with drug dealers, I would only go there if it is the last option or if I had no money but I would not risk my life because it is valuable I can also go to another country to save and have great fun

Yes, I was born in Albania but after being 17 years away from my country (I lived during the years Albania was in anarchy) and finally visiting again, I can say without a shadow of doubt that Albania is very safe for tourists. I was ignorant myself before going there, thinking it is not safe to visit (this is largely due to many Albanian immigrants talking down to their own country out of ignorance). Everywhere that I went, people were friendly and welcoming.

I would not recommend to live there due to the economy, but as a tourist, you can enjoy Albania safely and for cheap.

I do have to say though, tickets are expensive due to there being only one airport in Albania. I have heard talk about a second airport on the way, but I do not know much of it.
