ОтветитьCan’t wait for the flowers 💐 to bloom ❤
ОтветитьGreat job on your intro! Exciting gardening year ahead.
ОтветитьLove love your channel’ 🤍🥰 now I have to go buy more seeds lol my husband is going to go crazy 😂😂 great haul love! 🤍
ОтветитьAwesome video, they have the best seeds!!
ОтветитьWhat an exciting seed haul! I can’t wait to see those black poppies blooming. Homemade pickles is my favorite pickling cucumber - it’s really reliable for me! I’ve really loved the Corno di toro pepper too.
ОтветитьI sure do love a good seed haul! I especially like to see what other FL gardeners pick and why. I started my seeds on Sunday. Seeds are one of my favorite parts of gardening and I love both Baker Creek and MIGardener I found most of my tomato seeds from Baker Creek and Seed the Stars from Etsy. I am excited for the Pineapple Tomato that you recommend. The Seed the Stars folks grow in Lake county, so I know their seeds can be grown here successfully. I am always surprised at how many little tomatoes I pick. I am going to try to propagate some of my existing tomatoes that are hanging in there. Do you do much with propagation?
ОтветитьThe tomato obsession is real. We had over 100 plants last year. However, somehow I am going to find the will power to grow only fresh eating tomatoes - our favorite varieties from last year. We're now in E TN zone 7a and it is so much easier to grow a garden. We are from Ft. Laud. zone 10b. We had a ranch in Polk County however, I did not start a garden there. We concentrated on our horses. We regret that. What zone in FL are you growing?
ОтветитьHow do you get your poppies to grow? Any special fertilizer? I planted some last year and they never showed up:( I got some greenery and that’s it. 😕
ОтветитьYae a zone 9 gardener! So happy I found you! Would love to see a video on what seeds you're starting in January. I saw that you recommended planting poppies in January. I have poppy seeds too and didn't have any luck last year planting them, but will try again this year!
ОтветитьI’m so glad I found you! I loved all your seed choices. I just moved into an apartment, so I only have Greenstalks now. I’ll be living vicariously through you this garden season. You caught my eye because my youngest daughter is also named Shelby! I’m excited to see what you’re doing on your homestead ❤
ОтветитьWhat ever camera u r using is amazing. Girl u look great. Thanks for the video
ОтветитьBaker Creek is a very problematic company, they have speakers that say the n word and make fun of the homeless. Also notice how in the catalog the used the adopted Asian boy to market Asian varieties and the 1 time they had a black person in the catalog, they were holding a Watermelon. I could keep going, also germ rates are better from botanical interests, Johnny's, Southern exposure and the Seed Savers exchange and they have more reasonable prices.
ОтветитьYou said I feel I get more with an indeterminate tomato. You are kinda on the right track. Indeterminate tomatoes produce all season long and will keep growing up until you top them. Determinate tomatoes produce all at once and get to a certain height and stop. Determinate tomatoes are smaller and can fit more varieties if you have a tomato problem like I feel most of us are who plant from seed.
ОтветитьBuy a bag of dry beans at the grocery store. It’s a better deal for you.
ОтветитьIve given you a sub instead of a thumbs up, because in all my years growing both back home in th UK and where i live now in France, ive never heard someone say something sooooooooooooo funny without even realising it concerning seeds , that i actually spat my tea out laughing ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, oh btw are you growing anything else, coz you missed out tons of veg 😁😁🤣🤣🥰🥰
ОтветитьTo add on to what you said about dill, it and parsley are both specifically host plants for swallowtail butterflies in the same way milkweed is for monarchs!
ОтветитьPlease, please post videos of your garden, especially your sunflowers and poppies
ОтветитьThanks for the video
Also where did you get that dress/top?
I grew windsor favas last spring and though they are bush type, I would give them some typ of support even if its just some string around the outside of the patch. Mine fell over very late in the season and then the pods started turning black from botrytis I think. The germs turned a grey colour. So dont leave them out for too long as they are a cold crop. They produced well and people loved them.
Ответитьjust lettingyou know brown sugar is a great tasting tomato
ОтветитьIts crazy how many seeds an order can have! Its addicting! I did some from baker creek this year. Hope to have a video out next week. Cheers new subbscriber here!
ОтветитьAhh the Cinderella pumpkins are so gorgeous. I bought fairytale pumpkin seeds
ОтветитьThe varieties I’m working with this year are big rainbow tomatoes, fox cherry tomatoes, jalapeños medium heat, watermelon radish, champion radish, little gem lettuce, bibb lettuce, arugula, tatsoi, danvers carrots, fairytale pumpkins. I also have a patch of overwintered strawberries that are so healthy. I’m too eager for spring gardening this year!
