As a rec fisher this was a awsome video and great to know the comercial guys help out . Ive been fishing out of places like jacksons bay since i was a kid but always worried about heading over the bar so never did it so glad to know all these tips . Obviously living in hokitika i can pick the flat seas so hopong to get after some bluefin this season

Pretty sure this was me and a couple of mates heading out at 4am. Steve came on the radio and very politely advised us against it. We listened. Great man appreciate the advice. Cant wait for this season 🎣🐟🎣

Worked on the Galatea with steveo and Jerry then Baz for a number of years beast of a boat and best skippers I've worked with in my fishing career potter is an amazing person always made me feel like family
