I like the Woodland but those black fenders are the new shiny black int trim. UGH. NOOOOOOO. ok I got that off chest... I wonder what that Woodland is going to cost in Canada?? Thoughts?
Re getting your car serviced. I always go to the forums!! There's always guys who are big car people for every brand and they always know the best shops.
The features were the reason we went back to Toyota after 30 years with Honda and bought 2024 Toyota Venza Limited
ОтветитьWhere are "the boys" reviewers most excellent?!?!?!
ОтветитьI traded in my 2010 Jetta 2.5 limited edition for a 2025 Honda Civic Sport Touring Hybrid after watching your review about 50 times lol. I wouldn’t say I regret my decision, the Honda is a great car and has many features my Jetta didn’t — but I absolutely loved my VW and cried when I traded it in. If the new Jettas were like the 2010 I’d have definitely bought another VW. I always took it to the dealer for service and never had any problems with reliability.
ОтветитьGo to the dealer while you're under warranty or if you get included services, oil changes, etc. A good independent shopt is your best friend. However I still go to the dealership at ten years old for certain very specialized services. I have a Subaru Forester 2015. I get the CVT fluid done every 30k miles only at the dealership. And I do oil changes myself. Coolant change too every 50k.😊
ОтветитьNever will buy another VW. Despite several attempts to prove otherwise they are the least reliable cars I've ever owned
ОтветитьIf you hate your vehicle take it to Canadian Tire.
ОтветитьSome interesting comments about the Honda Passport in this episode, wondering if you have an idea when you might be revieing the new 2026 Passport?
ОтветитьI don't want a hybrid , gas prices are cheap compared to paying extra for a hybrid
ОтветитьIf you're going to keep your hybrid more than 15 years at some point the battery is going need to be replaced. That's hugely expensive and a big environmental impact
ОтветитьI test drove a 2024 Volkswagen Tiguan. It was neither engaging nor fun to drive. I ended up buying a Lexus RX350 Hybrid.
ОтветитьFeel like Honda is always slow to react to the market. Being this behind on tech and power train options has been frustrating for consumers.
ОтветитьExtended warranties are expensive. Dealers push them, because they are a cash cow for the dealer. Business Managers, earn a large percentage of their pay from the sale of extended warranties, rust proofing, fabric protection, and paint protection.
ОтветитьWe generally keep our rockets 7-10 ( two for over 20) years. So I look for reliable vehicles, as I do "all" the service work. That's how we afford many vehicles, and how I bought and build hot rods for me, with the money saved on our daily driver not being in the shops. Many people can't conduct service work, but whomever (you or any shop) document all work done.
ОтветитьI always get a chuckle out of going back and rereading my replies to comments, everybody should try it. C’mon people.
And many thanks to Andrea and Zack/Zork for providing the venue and doing the research .
My brother has a Honda Crv hybrid and he loves it!!
ОтветитьI am on Team Motormouth…. Reliability never factors in my decision. Hence I own not lease a 2025 Land Rover Defender 110 and Love It!
ОтветитьYou reason to buy is not why others buy!
The reason to buy based on reliability is important to my family!
Also we tend to keep a car for a long time, and longer warranties like extended ones are a necessity!
BTW current dealer labor rates are way over $100. an hour!
You can buy an extended warranty and insurance for everything and you'll be broke and won't sleep at night.
ОтветитьHave you ever thought of extending Coffee and cars vlog?
ОтветитьAfter seeing what is happening with newer cars I kind of look for cars with less extra electronics as they all have problems especially the ones with most functions in the screens.
ОтветитьLove these Q&A's !!
ОтветитьI have some mixed feelings on extended warranties. I was able to negotiate the price. The dealer offered a "zero deductible" warranty provided the car was serviced there and the warranty was touted as bumper to bumper. It did cover a door mirror switch repair..but an update to a software module wasn't covered because a physical component wasn't repaired or replaced and the warranty didn't cover software updates...something the dealer charged and I had to pay out of pocket.
I would suggest checking the contract for any exclusions to the coverage and decide at that point if it was worth it.
From Texas: You guys are awesome….never miss a show! Thank you. 👍
ОтветитьZach would you prefer the X5 40i or 50e or M60i? Thanks
ОтветитьI just bought a 2025 Honda Passport Sport, after driving our 2012 BMW X5 putting 183k miles on it. The dealer tried to get us to purchase the “Maintenance Program” and an “extended warranty”, both for additional costs. I politely said no thank you. While the Passport isn’t as sexy as an X5, we love its practicality and later on down the road the repair costs will be a lot cheaper than our old Bimmer.
ОтветитьHi Andrea and Zack! I love watching your videos during at lunchtime. I use my work's computer to watch your videos but not signed into my YT account. Therefore, I am in the statistics and at the same time not😂 thank you for the awesome contents!
Ответить15 years ago I took my Supra to Toyota to replace the thermostat; they did the service for a bit more than an independent shop would have but I wanted to be safe. Anyway the job was completed, I paid, and started driving home. On the highway a few blocks from the dealer I suddenly felt a bang and the car started shaking and vibrating and noticed debris flying all over the road behind me. It turns out the mechanic had left the old thermostat on top of the radiator and it fell into the plastic radiator fan blades, shattering 3 of the 5 and unbalancing the engine. They wouldn't even pay for the tow back to the dealer and that was the last time I went to there or bought a Toyota.
ОтветитьOne thing to consider re auto repairs. These days aftermarket parts are crap, so in this regard if you plan on keeping your car a long time the dealer maybe a better option for repairing
ОтветитьHey Andrea,
Has anyone ever told you, that you look exactly like the French actress Josephine De La Baume?
Like twins. For realizes.
My 2016 GTI with 195,000 km on it is still running smoothly so VW can be reliable
ОтветитьB Zed! 😊
ОтветитьHi Andrea & Zach! I love these videos.❤
ОтветитьI'm subscribed and love the channel and content you produce
ОтветитьDealerships are usually worth avoiding. They will attempt to upsell you on everything. Find a good trusted third party mechanic but even that can be hard to find.
ОтветитьDoes 2026 RAV4 have buttons on dash? Screen only controls ?CarCareNut says no….?Can’t be true!
ОтветитьMy parents take their Toyota for all the maintenance. Last spring when they went to get their summer tires installed the shop installed the bolts from the winter rims instead of the ones for the summer rims... 😅😅😅
ОтветитьI bought the extended 7 year/140K km warranty on a Sorento for piece of mind. Contrary to common believe, Kia and Hyundai’s 5 year warranties don’t cover everything. The electronics are only covered for 3 years. That includes the giant screens, backup and surround cameras and all the safety and convenience features like smart cruise, lane catering, etc…. Those things cost more to fix or replace then most mechanical issues
ОтветитьMost of use buy for reliability that won't cost a kidney to repair.
ОтветитьMy parents still have the Coleman pump stove
ОтветитьI would not have gotten an off-lease fully loaded 3.5 year old Volvo S90, if not for the manufacturer including an extending the warranty from 4 to 6 years. With the extended warranty and 50% off compared to new, it was an amazing deal and only had one electrical issue related to the trunk over the two years I owned it. Traded it in before the warranty was up for a used EV that does not need a $400 yearly oil change like any other luxury vehicle or expensive premium gas.
ОтветитьI would love to know how much money has been wasted on the so called extended warranties. It's just giving the dealers your money up front to used as they see fit. It's a horrible economic decision.
ОтветитьExcellent show. We have a ‘24 BMW X5 50e (purchased in part based on your review and recommendation of the X5), and it is everything you say. Amazing vehicle.
ОтветитьOMG. The Coleman camping stove had me literally LOL (ing) . Great meeting you both in Markham for a different EV launch event many months ago by our mutual friend, Mr Tony Morris Jr.
ОтветитьI bought a new car in '22, I got 2 years free service with Toyota....and didn't use it one bit. Lol Since buying the car I've happily spent my money on one of the top rated auto shops in my area for all the servicing. I do not trust dealership service centers whatsoever, too many horror stories .
ОтветитьThe hybrids cant tow, that’s why people still buys gas models, they tow something.
ОтветитьDUH? 2026 Crosstrek Hybrid (Fall 2025) AWD Regen 192hp 1000km range - Honda bias?
Ответитьyou guys are awesome and love how your show continues to grow and meet consumer needs. These are good discussions especially on ESP on vehicles
ОтветитьI usually go to the dealer for service except one time. Went to an independent place thinking it was cheaper (wasn't cause still needed full synthetic), and had better appointment to fit my schedule. Then a while later I got a message from the dealer and Carfax saying I'm late for my scheduled maintenance but I already went somewhere else.
