Were the coffees really worth the price?
ОтветитьSeason 2 was really good, but that's a yikes in terms of cost. Good lord.
ОтветитьThat Disney cannon is sooooo profitable 😂😂😂
ОтветитьWell if you split the episodes up they are about 5 movies worth of time. Considering one movie from Marvel costs between half as much as the 650 that's not too bad. The production value, SFX is definitely movie quality in Andor. Granted not every episode has that much space / fighting / need for SFX.
ОтветитьThrowing big money around for streaming shows probably looks good to investors, but ultimately the results speak for themselves.
ОтветитьListening to out friends on Echo Base Network and some of theit guests who worked for Lucasfilm over the years yeah I could believe that Andor ultimately proved that expensive. Because Lucas himself at times was think long term including merchandise which would ultimately bring in the big bucks. Let's spends millions here because we'll tens to hundreds of millions there. So if there are those that still think like that at Lucasfilm, yeah it keeps with that mindset.
ОтветитьHope disney gets cancelled everything they touch is garbage 😂
ОтветитьAndor was meh, I just don’t care about Star Wars anymore. I wouldn’t give them my money and time after all the garbage they have produced.
ОтветитьInsane or not. I'm happy they completed Andor. The Rebellion isn't here anymore. It's flown away... It's everywhere now.
ОтветитьFunny how the shills defend Star Wars one week by saying it’s made for kid audience
Then anBORE comes around and suddenly Star Wars is for “ mature “ and “intelligent” audiences
The thing with Andor is compared to all the other Star Wars shows it makes sense this one would cost the most as the majority of filming was done on huge fully built immersive sets, very little green screen or blue screen or whatever they use compared to other projects, however 650 mil for both seasons is mental. Also season 2 isn’t a step down, the first three episodes are the weakest of the show but the rest of the season is just as good as if not better than season 1
Ответить$650m for 24 episodes is about $27m per episode, according to maths.
ОтветитьWhat's their obsession with dead characters. 😂😂
ОтветитьIn Australia, we're in a tyranny disguised as democracy.

ОтветитьUNDER A DAY LATE SQUAD WHERE YOU AT?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
ОтветитьAY UP H
ОтветитьTo be fair Rings of Power cost twice as much and is absolute dogshit.
ОтветитьDisney has to be laundering money because you don't see that money on screen
ОтветитьDisney destroyed streaming with politics!! Andor in general is the best they’ve done but too many people have already checked out.
ОтветитьDisney streaming is dead. No one disagrees with that. Insanely throwing too much money to this for one is the reason.
ОтветитьEquity - give a marginalized person control, give them 4 times the budget to make the show and allow them to pocket the money they don't use - this is why everything got so expensive.
ОтветитьGood show I don’t care how much it was it was very good. It’s not my money and what do u care? If the product is good & they paid for it & we as an audience didn’t pay. What’s the issue? Again it was a very good show and the format 3 episodes at a time kinda like 3 movies. Very well done…
ОтветитьIt shouldn't be a surprise, considering these woke idiot show runners of today and Disney current top management had already thrown away Billions by now, intentionally destroying franchises after franchises which were previously highly successful & valuable IPs, clearly shown they are either complete idiots in running a business Or they are intentionally doing all these for their own sick fetishes to subvert fans' expectations & hear our outcry, and only interested in burning Disney to the ground and panders Woke ideologies. Whether Disney itself makes or lose money, wont hurt them as they still be getting fixed sum of salary and prob are multi-billionaires themselves.
ОтветитьWho the fuck is saying it’s a step down? The first arc was kinda slow but it’s absolutely fantastic after that.
ОтветитьSeries - 650 million, the message "orange man bad" - priceless for these types of people.
ОтветитьPer Google, “The Star Wars series "Andor" benefited from British tax credits, specifically the Audio-Visual Expenditure Credit (AVEC). The show received a $129.3 million reimbursement from the UK government for filming in the UK, which helped reduce the overall cost to Disney to $511.7 million.”
Considering that there are 24 episodes, this equates to around $22 million per episode. Expensive yes, but not unheard of. Rings of Power cost around $60 million per episode when you include the rights deal.
You have to ask yourself, what would have been a better use of that money? Another season of the Acolyte? More Kenobi content? An Ahsoka film? A few more spin off movies?
For the record, Disney Plus finally became profitable just last year. Disney has made $2 billion in box office revenue so far in 2025 and Disney stock is up 23% in the past month. They can afford a passion project like Andor no problem. Just let Kathleen have the win and ride off into the sunset. 😂
Season 2 is trash
ОтветитьEveryone is paying each other too much in Hollywood now. They've made it impossible to make a profit. Short sighted greed of the elites is destroying the western world
ОтветитьImagine if they got Karl Urban back and did dredd series Mega City one for that money. It would be the biggest show on the planet for popularity
ОтветитьNothing puts a bigger smile on my face than Disney losing money😂
ОтветитьStill have 3 episodes of Andor s02. But i gotta say. They managed to F-ck it up. Its not even close as good as season 1. Its boring, yet 4 seasons were mashed up in 1 and it is just a rushed mess. The result is quality loss and all leftwing signaling from 4 seasons in 1. Great disappointment.
ОтветитьIt was a good season
ОтветитьI thought it was 650 for season 1 and 2 total
ОтветитьSeason 2 of Andor is the best Star Wars ever! Call yourself a media reviewer? Come back when you’ve seen it.
ОтветитьSo is Andor a hit or not? I know it's high quality - Tony Gilroy actually has talent, something Kennedyfilm has sorely lacked for an entire decade - but did enough people watch it to make it a hit?
ОтветитьDamn!!! When you think that "Babylon 5" and "DS-9" were done for a fraction of the budget of "Andor" and they are better shows in every which way possible.
Ответить$650 million is too much money for a tv show.
ОтветитьLucasfilm could’ve taken the $650 million to feed and cloth the homeless in all of America and Marvel could’ve spent the $300-350 million from their stupid Captain America movie with the Red Hulk and fixed all our roads in America and helped update our infrastructure.
ОтветитьI do not remember how much 'The Acolyte' cost, but it never came any close to 'Andor'...
Ответитьdisney brand is shit. i refuse to give them woke aholes money
ОтветитьI never watched it, but it must be better than the 300 million dollar + the The Electric State cost to cobble together. Streaming seems like a competition to make the biggest pile of crap from the largest amount of money.
ОтветитьNot sure why you think it's madness! It's actually a decent show, especially when you compare it to all the other Star Wars guff out there.
ОтветитьIt was actually good though. So I'm quite happy for them to waste throw money at something good for once.
ОтветитьAre you an accountant or something? Who cares about the Budget spent if the show delivers
ОтветитьSeason 2 is better. And the reason it took too long to cone out is because of writers strike.
ОтветитьSeason 2 of Andor is among the best show i saw these last months
Far better than the first one and definitly the best star wars on air
