I really appreciate the comments on Eagle Rare and Buffalo Trace. Seems like a lot of people hate on this brand - but for me BT just has a certain magic to their products. Nothing against all the other brands on this list, but damn it, there's something special going on with BT products for me. Fits my taste buds like a glove.

Evan Williams is my families “travel” bourbon to go from house to house. That’s a good bottle !!

We went for the tour at Buffalo Trace in Frankfort KY. The mashbill is the same for Benchmark, Buffalo Trace, and Eagle Rare. The difference is the temp, humidity, and aging in the barrel. Eagle Rare is aged at a humid basement level for 10 yr. Benchmark is aged less at a hit attic level of the same building. Buffalo Trace is in the middle of the building.

I know this is a year old now… but Eagle Rare is $90-$120 near me all day. $90 is the cheapest I’ve found it.

It's funny that Eagle Rare in Brazil costs around 35 dollars, and here all products that come from abroad are subject to absurd import taxes, apart from local taxes. Well, in this specific case we were honored LOL.

I've had a Buffalo Trace but I didn't like it What should I do?

I also enjoy the forest 1920 I'm drinking 101 just finished up two fingers of Russell's 10

Believe it or not I had a Evan Williams 2012 that was really smooth and tasted good now I can't find another bottle. I'm never seen an eagle rare anywhere around me I think the last bottle of knob Creek I had was $120 or more maybe even $130 proof

ER is NOT better than Russell's 10yr. Benchmark Bonded is great btw for a cheap bourbon. Also if $40+ is still a "budget" Michters should've been all over this list! And where is the Green River??? Psshhhhh

My local Costco has Rare Breed for $45 and OF 1920 for $51. they also have a pretty good selection right now in general. But BT is harder to come by in Springfield, Mo. and well over MSRP. $40 a bottle

I've always been a rum drinker especially Ray nephew overproof. But but it's difficult to get in Canada now so I tried Wild Turkey 101 before I watch this video. Next time I'm going to try the wild breed Wild Turkey to see if I like it a little better or if I'll or if a 101 is good or not

I moved to NC about 6 months ago from IL. This is the worst for a Buffalo Trace fan. I used to have Eagle Rare and Buffalo Trace all the time. You could get it at Walmart. Now, I have to get in a fist fight on the first of the month for a bottle. Russell's 10 year is now my go to, but I LOVE Eagle Rare. I miss it. I will say, the Peerless single barrell and the double baked are amazing, but $130 is just too much.

I saw a blind tasting video other day of weller line and the 12 won over the 107 and they almost redid the video ☺️ but to me i thought taste wise id have to pick in my price range eagle rare, weller 12, blanton or old forester non twist cap.

Heaven Hill BinB and ol grandad 114 are my favorite budget bourbons to have. OL grandad is the fan favorite mix in for mixed drinks

I think too many people are sleeping on Rare Breed. We blinded that bottle against other 110-120 proofs in the $40-$60 bottle range… and it just didn’t seem like a fair fight. That bottle is just incredibly complex and punches way above its weight. I bet they become very difficult to find in a year’s time.

Russell's reserve is awful. No way on earth is it similar to rare breed lol
