Ответитьreally great insight, thanks for sharing. what was your salary at your first software engineering job once u left deloitte?
ОтветитьThough I am not going to software engineering, thanks for sharing your internal transition experience!
Ответитьthank you for the helpful video!
ОтветитьMuch practical and realistic way to move to tech companies for those who are interested to move out ! Thanks for the very genuine and informative video !
ОтветитьHey mika, I love ur channel and the valuable insight you've provided. Your story of preserving with your GPA and going into consulting and than breaking into tech is amazing. I have a longer question I want to ask, if you have the capacity. I tried dming the Instagram, would it be possible to email you or send it through any other channel of communication.
Ответитьi actually just joined a company as a Data Engineer Consultant which is in basically a mix of both SWE and Consulting
ОтветитьAt what age you joined consulting ?
ОтветитьPlease do a day in the life of..
ОтветитьYou did 'software consulting'.....not like you transitioned into management consulting and then back into software.
Not hating. It looks like normal transitions to me.
I'm exactly in same situation, working for deloitte but want to work for tech companies in future. Cant wait to see more videos! Love ur channel:)
ОтветитьWould love to watch video on why you changed from consulting to tech!
ОтветитьWhat are the extra courses you took exactly (wrt this video )?
ОтветитьHi Mika how's your English better than American? Are you Korean born Korean or American?
ОтветитьHey Mika, really inspiring story, I am also on the same road. Could you please share your daily study plan how you balanced study and work at same time. Thanks in advance
ОтветитьHi Mika, this video hit the nail on the head with my situation and I suspect others will have as well as a new grad consultant. I'm currently consulting and doing a lot of non-technical work. I wonder, do you think if you haven't done the internal transition and those technical projects at Deloitte, is it still doable to transition to SWE?
ОтветитьGreat video Mika. It's always good to see examples of people successfully breaking into tech
ОтветитьMy experience has been a little different I work for a big4 too as a senior data engineer. I have worked on ml and cloud engineering projects.
I have always worked on technical projects (coding only) mostly python and pyspark.
But I have my friends in the same ship as you.
Do u know Jules Jordan production
ОтветитьWow this is super helpful! I am in Deloitte on quite a technical team but since I am a new analyst they kinda just put me ad hoc doing functional stuff. I noticed almost all the software engineers in my team are located in India and never thought that if I can prove my skills to them I can make a role switch inside my team? This video totally inspired me to start brushing up on coding skills and do a personal project to showcase the leadership.
ОтветитьI'd say you had such an unique experience of finding a firm initiative that is about mobile app development.. Can I ask how did you find the right people to net work with and find this FI?
ОтветитьI am sorry but I feel that the younger generation of consultants are not really that competent. However because they have been employed and tagged with the corporate title they think they are doing a good enough job and thus their inflated egos.
ОтветитьYou are currently a Senior SE? How good are you at coding? 😢😢😢😢 U transitioned smoothly🎉
