Given the vitality of water, for consumption and commercial purposes, the need for solutions around water continues to accelerate. India has 18% of the world's population and only 4% of the world's fresh water resources. As investors in the water sector since 2007, we thought it would be helpful to bring practitioners into the discussion to help stakeholders in the space understand and define what it takes to build a profitable business while preserving one of the world's most precious resources.

1. Minhaj Chowdhury - Founder of Drinkwell
Drinkwell is a water technology company tackling the issue of mass arsenic and fluoride poisoning in Southeast Asia through community-based systems. In 2022, Drinkwell was announced as one of the Winners of the 2022 Secretary of State’s Award for Corporate Excellence by the United States government.
2. Amrit Om Nayak - Co-Founder of Indra Water
Indra Water is a developer of novel technology for treating wastewater using electrocoagulation, through which, 95% of the water treated can be reused for non-potable applications. In January 2023, Indra was one of the winners of the UpLink - World Economic Forum and HCL Enterprise Global Freshwater Challenge, announced at Davos 2023.
3. Mansi Jain - Co-Founder of Digital Paani
Digital Paani focuses on building IoT and digital management tools that redesign wastewater operations catered to industrial plants, through sensors and algorithms. They have received an award by Niti Aayog.
