Cops will literally sit outside for 8 hours to try to get somebody who is armed to the teeth to come out and give themselves up but I guess if you're a federal agent you can just go kick in the door and start shooting people without actually de-escalating the situation at all.

When I was in the military I remember being taught that early morning attacks were especially effective cause a study showed that people were least alert between the hours of 4am-6am. Might be wrong but that’s probably why the early hour raids are done
