Google Pixel phone hands-on

I'm going to complain about this

I used a prototype of Pixel Xl 128gb (black) for a few weeks, last month. I must say it was snappy. The chin is a big NO. Battery was great, had it on very rare use and the battery dropped only 40% in 5 days.. Camera gesture I guess worked only when the phone was on. Screen is amazin (500+ ppi), camera is great too. Volume was loud enough for a single speaker. The other downside other than the chin is the thickness. Its pretty thick but then they utilised the camera bump to fill antennas and battery. I have prebooked a 32gb pixel xl in silver. The single reason for it being the future use of Dream VR, something apple doesn't have.

Its a double tap to open the camera, not twist.

Apple is outclassed in software its just Google messed up on they're hardware/design.

This phone will be a total flop. £599 for the 32GB 5" model. It has already flopped. Shame on Google. The 5X cost half of the Pixel's price. Google doesn't know where it's going. I can get an iPhone for cheaper.

So from what I hear there isn't a storage upgrade for memory? I'm already not a fan.. I'd rather wait to see the Blackberry Dtek 60 because I'm forced to go android.. Apple isn't an option...very disappointed with my options on basically 2 platforms.. regardless of my personal view, thank you for the video.

I hate gestures, you could never remember how many times to flip or swipe left or right it is just bullshit and not intuitive to me.
Also they have kept the OS ugly, cant even compare it to the iOS smoothness and extra polish.
Outside - it looks satisfying enough.

The Power and Volume buttons should be on the top, they are so sensitive that it always asks you if you want power off or restart. My phone sometimes turned off or restarted. My phone Volume also was changed sometimes. I never had this kind of problem with iPhone.

What a dope. The gesture he was doing wasn't to launch the camera. It was to switch between selfie and back camera. You have to double press the power button.

All the haters from a year ago are now wanting this or the Pixel 2. 😂
