Great video.
ОтветитьBmw with a rotor :)
ОтветитьCheck mitzone aluminum valve cover for m54 engine ❌❌❌❌❌👍
ОтветитьJust watched some of the video not done yet but they sell metal flap for disa for cheap it makes it where there's no pin that could fall out
Ответитьwe need part 3!
Ответитьgood talking, good mecanics and advices, thats how we appreciate to watch videos
mannn bmw engines when they run well , if i was living there, will have no issue bying it ^^ :D
What oil do you prefer for these engines? Examples?
ОтветитьEvery time i see these videos, it makes want to buy one and do the same, then bad memories kick back from owning one of these money pits . Great content btw.
ОтветитьNice car!
ОтветитьI would check the vacuum hoses on both sides, I remember having lean codes and did the CCV, SAP hoses, plugs on back of intake and the lean codes cleared. The PS reservoir is easy and an electric fan is a nice upgrade. The patina on my valves were similar on my E46 with about 125K when I did my VCG.
Ответить@DayOffDIY Could I get your instagram and we could chat and maybe work something out. Would you be interested in selling your 330i
Ответитьtoo many doors :)
Ответитьhow does a bmw with this kind of mileage end up with this many issues? i've seen even 95 e36 models with 200k miles with less problems. makes me nervous for me e46 one day.
ОтветитьMaybe you don't need a ccv after all, maybe it was oil getting into the spark plug holes and filling it up but I'd still do the ccv as preventative maintenance
ОтветитьLooks like cleaning IAC made the difference, glad I could help :) Also prepare yourself for oil consuming due to piston oil rings. M54B30 are notorious for badly engineered piston rings and valve seals. To check potential oil consumption use white paper by the exhaust while cold start - oil drops mean it needs to be rebuild unfortunately. This is what I am about to do with mine.
ОтветитьThe DISA Valve !
ОтветитьDo you have a link for the vacuum tool you used and how you made the cap part? also do you have a link for the compression tester? and coolant pressure tester?
ОтветитьI'm in the middle of fixing iacv right now that causes a bunch of issues. I bought a bootleg on amazon lol it got so much worse. I am putting in the legit one I ordered today. My car was running super rich cause it was stuck open. Hopefully everything clears up. Before it got stuck open car ran flawless
ОтветитьWhat tool do you use to take off lower intake boot with turkey neck it takes me forever to get that on amd off
Ответитьflush the power steering fluid
ОтветитьYou can get complete disa kit
ОтветитьA drop of blue or lighter thread locker on that DISA pin might have done the trick.
ОтветитьFun to watch, thanks from the Netherlands :D
ОтветитьCongratulations
ОтветитьHi man great video again.
What’s the improvement by installing new coil boots ? I regularly change the spark plugs with NGK but I never touched the coil boots in my m52tub25 with 235k miles. Should I change them all now or wait till a see a failure ? Thanks
So the parts canon so far is: a battery, a bunch of brake clean and valve cover gasket? Whomever you bought this from will be kicking themselves!
Great videos, just try not to spin too much, else we might fall off 😆
I was under the impression that the DISA pin wouldn't fall out because it has a nook that it fits in to when installed (I read a lot, no real experience!)? The danger is when you are removing the DISA, drop the pin in the intake don't realise and then start the engine it goes big badaboom, but rebuilding the DISA is rarely a bad idea! I went looking for a rebuild kit for my M52TUB25's DISA but all of them are for the M54 one, and I don't think they are compatible.
Nice work Alec! I like your calm style in doing this. And the result is satisfying! It seems to appear more that the valve cover gasket is installed incorrectly. Mine was twisted (though not leaking). Well, one advantage of doing it calm is that you can double check that it is installed correctly now :)
Ответитьmaintainance for these motors to last forever: cooling refresh, aluminum disa,ccv/vacuum leaks, oil nut(if track driven)
ОтветитьReady to trade you my e36 vert lol 😂
ОтветитьNice work, you really should always keep at least 1/4 gas tank, low gas on BMW will throw codes. keep up the nice videos.
ОтветитьEvery bmw owner should stick to the bmw program (inspection) and what it does is changing parts before they break (they know what part will break at a certain time) .
And one major improvement in every m54b30 engine is a catch can , the breather design by bmw is a joke they get clogged in the winter and crack , a catch can will improve very much the engine running smooth and the engine vacuum also improved .
BMW is easy to work , every one with some basic tools can do the maintenance at home.
And bmw engines don't like Bosch spark plugs, use always NGK .
Great job on the 330.
Disa valve got aluminum rebuild kit with the pin issue fixed
Ответить100% it is the ccv.
ОтветитьCommenting to thank you, I inspected my disa valve and the pin was sticking out after replacing my fuel trims are back to normal and my rough idle stopped
ОтветитьBro playing with death when washing the studs over the engine lol
ОтветитьI see a DISA valve rebuild kit in your future…
ОтветитьAnyone know a website where I can get parts for my e46 325i oem parts or after market
ОтветитьYou fix e46? You location? How much you sale your bmw??
ОтветитьGreat job 👏🏼
ОтветитьIs it the same car or you have multiple blue cars cuz you have done same things in your earlier videos
ОтветитьLove the video from here in South Africa started watching your videos because i want to get e46 320i
ОтветитьHi, quick question. My 1999 328i EML light turned on along with engine light. Idle ok. But when pressing the gas pedal as soon as it hits 2000rpm it bogs down and feels like it chokes. Do you have any idea? Would that a sign of clogged up cataliyric converter?
ОтветитьSo many plastic parts!
ОтветитьHey man who makes that ratcheting screwdriver?? I’m looking for one but all I can find is a Motion Pro for motorcycle air/fuel mixture screws. Maxed out at 50lb/in.
ОтветитьWhere are you located are you in California I would love to take my BMW to you I have a 06 x3 I got it as a gift
ОтветитьMay seem like a dumb question, but may I ask what the 3M spray is you use on all the intake hoses? Just a basic lubricant?
ОтветитьMore e46!!!
ОтветитьI love your videos man, keep up the amazing work!!
