Can you use New Jersey License in New York? Is there reciprocity in any of the NY counties?

The New York home improvement license is bullshit. Can’t pull permits with this license. Get the general contractor license through the DOB

I got licensed without having insurance. If you have no employees you can apply for an exemption certificate. Although you do still need at least general liability insurance to be able to actually perform work.

Don’t forget you are also required to have certification with EPA for RRP (Lead Abatement).
