Jaybird RUN XT // True Wireless Sport Headphones Review

Just a heads up to Jaybird Run 1st Gen owners: if you're looking to get a performance upgrade (sound quality, battery life, connection speed) with these XTs you'll be disappointed. I've tried these out soon as they came out at a local best buy and compared them with the 1st gen and they're exactly the same 🤦‍♂️ (except the waterproofing and new colors of course).

Im really disappointed Jaybirds didn't take the time since 2017 to really improve their headsets 😔

I lost both of my original jay bird runs riding my bike on the local greenway. Not at same time on different routes. Lost left one when I hit a bump bounced out. Did not use right one for a while until I discovered could use right one on its own. Eventually hit another bump and it bounced out. Never found either one. Loved them for running. I’m sticking to corded earbuds for riding

I had Jaybird Run and the first pair died after a couple months. They sent me a brand new pair which lasted through 2 uses. Not happy with those.

How'd they do with the Garmin fenix 5 plus? Was the connection solid?

So there not gonna fix the drawbacks? Not really worth then

Personally, I love the Jabra elite active 65t!

They just rereleased the same old jaybird run. This is where the downfall will start. I'm a big jaybird fan. This is disappointing. I'm going to stick with these sennheiser momentum

Couldn't even be bothered to make them USB C? Letdown

I will never invest in the Jaybird Run ever. Even if they work, you start having connections issues from 6-8 months of use.

Is this a micro usb or usb c type ? Missed the most important thing man!

They are not good for 50$. But 180$ is a joke.

i would like to know how does feel to wear this earphones with a hat or buff over it. I can't find any Bluetooth earphones you can use it under the hat and still not be pushed to your brain....

Guess I just stick with my 2018 Samsung gear iconX which has 5-7 hours battery life, 4gb on board so i can store music, usb c, futuristic tapping control, no issue whatsoever with Bluetooth connecting and a hell lot cheaper then. Been a fan of jaybird since bluebird due to sound and build quality and battery but their truly wireless are really not impressive though.

ISMH What is "True Wireless? It's either or Not Wireless EarBuds. I hate these made up not technical terms. Like Wireless HeadPhones.

I totally love my 1st gen runs paired with my Fenix 5s+ while running they sound amazing and have accompanied me on around 1700 kms of running while listening to ministry of sound house etc I personally think they are the best over ever owned and would replace them immediately if things went wrong or I lost one which is hard due to them fitting great for me, again personally, ah then there’s the app I couldn’t ask for anymore 😎🤗

No USB c is an instant no buy from me at this point

I can't decide between the Run XT's or the Jabra Elite Active 65t's. The Jabra's have Bluetooth 5.0, but I get the sense that these would stay in my ear better while running because of the fins.

Hey Des, keep up the amazing content right here buddy, it's always a pleasure, have you found any issues where the jaybird earphones have randomly connected to your phone when the case is closed? I am getting this issue on some relatively new first gen ones

Was hoping they'd improve more than just the waterproofing. Would have been cool if they added on board audio storage, or allowed us to use either bud independently,

The only difference is the button controls to play and pause. This is not an option on the standard Run. I plan on palming these headphones off and getting the new 2019 Samsungs when they come out. Jaybird.... I am no longer loyal to your product.

Looks like cheaper non waterproof non self playing Bragi Dash. I wonder when someone produces decent competitor to those. :(

The dropout happens all the time with my Bose SoundSport. They are the worst ear buds I've ever owned.

These kind of buds is meant to be controlled by your gear watch or voice commands .

It’s obvious you didn’t use them to view video.
Try it and I can guarantee you’d be very disappointed.
I bought the original Jaybird run specifically to watch video but with
the amount of lag they pretty much just sit there gathering dust.

From Jaybirds X2 - RUN. In all honesty their products are mediocre. Doesn't mean I don't love them?
Each product has it's flaw and sacrifice from it's predecessor. Cord or no cord, how you charge your device, or battery life. The sound and being water proof is what keeps me around. My 3rd set of JB RUN, survived being in the washer and dryer twice. Irresponsible but proof of durability.

Do you have a comparison video of true wireless earbuds? Like Jaybird vs Sennheiser vs Jabra vs Bose?

Only issue is I want the grey ones :( they only had black ones wich I dont mind but the grey are nicer color is my favorite color atleast

Father charging 5 minutes equals one hour from case dont see any headphones with fast charging
