In a few more years, the EV dirt bikes will probably be dominating these events. This is all about torque. Electric motors are the kings of torque.

It is nice to see the young folk out doing their bit for the environment.

Plainly the handlebars on the bikes are too high. They should be dropped forward of the fuel tank, lower than the 'headlight' height so the rider can keep his weight forward. Like a GP roadbike.

Seems like the bikes with the more narrow paddle type back tires go up the hill a lot better than the wide ones with spikes coming out of them
