I have strong feelings for you as well, Mark! Thanks for the advice too!
Ответить"Showreel" or "Demo Reel" ?? 🙏
Ответитьcan i send you my demo im an fpv pilot
ОтветитьPlease check out mine! Just posted it
ОтветитьBeen binging these videos and I’ve already learned so much. Thank you! 📷🎥
ОтветитьAny tips for creating a video editing reel?
ОтветитьSuper insightful feedback! Thank you!
ОтветитьThis is super cool! Even with it being other people's work, I've taken note of the feedback you gave and will definitely try and implement it into my own reel. Any plans to do another one of these?
ОтветитьThis was an amazing video. I have learned so much in 13 minutes. Its ridiculous
ОтветитьHi Mark, will you ever do demo reels review again?
ОтветитьGreat to find you guys!! Awesome work and great tips 👌🏼🍻
ОтветитьBut whats wrong with being a jack of all trades if you've put the years behind learning each trade. Hate that this stigma has been created.
ОтветитьDo you think clients would hire just based off a reel or do they generally want to see finished work? I have typically shot for producers so I don't have much for full finished work.
ОтветитьWhen are you going to review reels again? I would like you to review mine and give me helpful feedback.
Ответитьthe back shot of the girl in green was actually really very very very good.
why wouldnt you like it?

Great video 💯
ОтветитьAwesome work guys! Learned a lot! Thank you ❤ Now cutting my first reel for a director friend. My challenge: he has a lot of works from years ago with (in my view) meh cinematography. What’s your recommendation? Kill the overworked (color corrected) footage or keep it and try fix the pieces or ask him to get Raw’s from this DP’s?
ОтветитьInteresting that you so strongly recommend a reel to get work. I say that because I've come across a lot of guys working as dp and or cam op who say they never create reels. They always get hired by word of mouth.
ОтветитьGreat feedback! Learned a lot!
ОтветитьReally enjoyed this. Thank you
ОтветитьJust came here by accident, but I have to agree, great review Mark
Ответитьsuper useful video, thanks
ОтветитьThat was kinda fun....now im up 2 am working on final cut...the work is real...reel?
ОтветитьWhat's a "clipped shot"?
ОтветитьI dont understand these Reels, where are the CG? where are the breakdowns?
Ответитьhey mark, when are you reviewing some demo reels again :) ?
ОтветитьGreat value!
ОтветитьStart with a wide shot. Thank you Mr Mark Bone
ОтветитьI bet my reel is better than most of you guys
(18+ years doing media)
and my website is prob better than most as well lol
Just now finding this video today! Will you guys be reviewing more reels in the future?
ОтветитьSo a reel should be 60 seconds?
ОтветитьI love that Mark is so nice that he says he's ripping apart demo reels but it's actually friendly constructive feedback 😅
ОтветитьI did not skim through this video! 😁
ОтветитьI'm a journalist, and creating short films is such a crucial skill for us as we constantly create video packages and scripts. it really is a profitable skill in more than one way. I so love the film making industry.
ОтветитьLove this. I know a lot of these tips apply to reels overall, but would love tips for postproduction reels.
Ответить"just like you, you already probably skipped through this video"
looks around
"damn, he read me like a book"
Very valuable ❤
ОтветитьGreat stuff!
Can't wait to be a part of this community hopefully soon 🔥🤞🏼
cool video & great tips! thx man!👍🏻
ОтветитьAlways so busy running full tilt with client projects I never squeeze in the time to make the reel content I'd love. Need to work on that. Thanks for the inspiration Mark!
ОтветитьI didn't skip..☺
ОтветитьThis was amazing would love to get mine reviewed! Will surely be joining the zoom meeting.
ОтветитьTime to redo my reel lol. Mark you amazing 🙏👑❤️🎬🎥
ОтветитьWonderful advice, as usual!
Ответитьsoo true re: wide vs tight. lot of folks shoot their 50 wide open and rely on it too much. proper wide is difficult to shoot, utilizing the entirety of the frame correctly. love these reel reviews Mark, always learn something from them, thanks again.
