No need for any computer changes?
ОтветитьThank you for always sharing great, useful info!! Good video!
ОтветитьGreat install ... I've got the Lamonster Cat Delete S Pipe with a Can Opener Baffle Similar to yours! Like you said ... You need some back pressure or you'll loose Mid-Range. If you're interested check out the ... RLS Cat Delete for The 1300. It comes with a Resonator & has a Really Nice Chrome Finish ... The Resonator gives it a Deeper Note! Ryde safe brother 👍😁🤘🙏 Beanie
ОтветитьGreat post, always enjoy you working on your Spyder.
ОтветитьI put a Cat Delete S Pipe and RLS muffler (very loud) and it blew the plug out of the baffle.
Definately feel the difference. And alot cooler riding .. Im in Tampa.. 2019 F3 Limited.
oh and the big difference is the weight.. original cat, muffler weigh a ton
Excellent job..as usual... This is one of my favorite channels. Thanks for sharing your expertise and attention to detail!! 🍻👍
Ответитьnow send in that ECU in for remapping and really unlock the power. Did it on my F3 and it made a big diff..
ОтветитьSo, buddy, I have a 14 RTL, and wondered after just changing the Cat Del., and staying with stock exhaust, did you find any differences? Fuel Milage? Performance?
ОтветитьHello neighbor! I live in Rapid City and live riding the hills with my 2018 RTS Limited.
ОтветитьHow did you lift your spyder in the rear. thank you
ОтветитьI stopped by Baldwin's shop last fall on my way to the Ozarks. He built me a pipe, installed it and shipped my OEM cat back for the $200 cost. He is a class guy, and his work is meticulous. He does recommend baffle in/plug off for best combo of sound/performance, but like you, I'll be removing the baffle this week and try it that way. Heck, I rode it 6k miles with the baffle in :)
ОтветитьHow do I find this cat delete? The Amazon link goes nowhere. This would be cheaper than LaMonster.
ОтветитьJust done mine tonight! That top spring is a pain. Got a exhaust system combing from lamonster
ОтветитьI appreciate that you didn’t edit out the times when you encountered a little difficulty getting those springs connected when installing the pipe. Excellent DIY video!
ОтветитьDo you know somehow what db noise do you have now?
ОтветитьGreat video. I have o do that job soon.
ОтветитьMy personal bete noir those exhaust springs on any vehicle, instead of good old fashioned clamps. You are very patient and restrained well done.
ОтветитьSoooo can we hear it without the baffle? I’m thinking of doing this for my wife’s RTS but am leery if I’ll get the sound we’re looking for.
ОтветитьSo after awhile did you make any other changes to the exhaust?
ОтветитьGreat work on the mods you do, ride a 17 RT Limited and just ordered one of these thanks to your info, I believe like you say the biggest improvement is the heat issue.
ОтветитьIs it made out for 300 series stainless steel?
ОтветитьGood day sir I installed the Cat Delete on my 17 RT and it fit great, the bike lost 8 lbs and sound great without any baffles, my wife says she likes the sound and does not bother her so bonus.
ОтветитьSaving this video. I just bought a 2021 F-3S Spyder. Thinking about all kinds of options just don’t know what’s first, probably a windshield.
ОтветитьWife rides a 2014. RT Limited. Purchased new. I do all the work. Still a great bike. I’m on my Goldwing.
ОтветитьOrdered my kit for my 17 RTL last week and received it Thursday, installed it this morning without the baffle and left the original exhaust. Love the way it sounds. Very throaty growl and I noticed there was some burbling when my SE6 was down shifting when stopping for a light. Glad I saw your video before I installed this as I probably would have put the baffle in. Glad I found your video. Everyone ride safe.
ОтветитьI have a 2022 Can Am Spyder RT Limited doing this mod does it void your warranty?
ОтветитьWhat do you think about the back pressure of your Can-Am spider and should we use just the pipe or all of it 🤔
ОтветитьIf you’re a believer in back pressure don’t do anything that helps increase flow! Back pressure reduces flow which reduces power! Take an engineering fluid dynamics class and learn that engines don’t like backpressure!
ОтветитьDo you have to use the baffle in it does it change the running of the Eileen performance
ОтветитьWell got the Sheild installed. Does it job ok but not super happy. Kinda small, buffeting badly. Bounces my prescription glasses around like crazy. If I wear some of my other sun glasses it’s fine.
ОтветитьThanks for the video.
ОтветитьBack pressure is never needed or wanted . The ability to change air\fuel ratio is needed with any flow modification . thanks for posting .
ОтветитьI suggest placing the pipe clamp fastener up and away from the road so as not to hang up on or get hit . ? Think fighter jet tailhook .
ОтветитьWhat effect does removal have on the engine
ОтветитьGood job but I don’t like the sound. These engines just don’t produce a good exhaust note no matter the exhaust. Maybe you pick up some performance and you reduced the weight. Thanks for posting!
ОтветитьGreat post i Have the same bike and i was wondering how hard it was gonna be to install. Thanks for the video
ОтветитьSo found your video on the rear wheel change. It was great as mine exploded (to many miles all was safe). Saw you comment on less heat with the Cat Delete and was able to find it from Baldwin Ironworks on sale for $79 and it will be here this week. Glad to have found this because like you I was going to keep the baffle in but after your comments at the end it will not be installed. Still working my way through the rest of your videos. Thank you for the time and effort in making them. Terry, Central TX, 2021 RT LT.
ОтветитьThe Baldwin Iron Works product is a fine piece.
I used the included baffle in the muffler end of the pipe, leaving the cap in the perforated tube, but drilling a 1/4 inch hole in the center of it. Perf tube toward the engine. In the other end, I used a Big City Thunder QBL-1845. I did have to shorten it, and mounted it cone side toward the engine. Noise is only slightly more than stock, and got rid of 18 pounds and the hot box.
Thanks for the video. I plan to do mine as well. I'm going to wrap my pipes to help to keep the heat down some. Love your content. 😊
