yes, so here for this content! :D
ОтветитьHannah, you Must listen to the Clotheshorse podcast (if you don't already). You are bringing up so many things that they repeatedly cover in amazingly well-researched episodes. Why is that polyester skirt $400? Why is Reformation making expensive versions of thrifted Depop items? What truly makes a garment long lasting and Timeless? I think you would find yourself in good company among that podcast audience.
ОтветитьMy issue with knitwear right now (as a 46 year old) is I can't do the dropped shoulder/sloppy look. It doesn't work on me as I need structure in my shoulders. I feel and look like I'm a melting blob with the current oversized, slouchy looks.
ОтветитьEileen Fisher has that same pleated skirt in wool for $328.
ОтветитьI ADORE knitwear: stylish bold but cozy: puuurfection! Stunned by ur lips, what have u on?
ОтветитьI love when you talk about knitwear, thanks for introducing me to Babaà and Ozma, I love the quality of their clothing.
ОтветитьI'd like to see you do a hot take on pants. Don't forget us plus size girls!
ОтветитьThe comments on this video are just as good as the video itself!
ОтветитьCan see this being horribly recreated by TEMU. Agree with the shoulder lumps….why???
ОтветитьI loved this
ОтветитьAs a knitter, this video is the perfect overlap of my interests 😂
ОтветитьHannah, you have to learn to knit! It is a wonderful, relaxing activity but also you can customize any sweater you want!
Ответить“Are you going to be hot at the cloob?”
ОтветитьThe COS merino wool top could've been great... but when I ordered I realised that the bottom seam and sleeves aren't hemmed! Even with washing it on the delicate cycle in the washer the seams immediately began to fray. For 70$.... I had to return it.
ОтветитьYou can do fashion hot takes any time you like Hannah, this excites me more than the makeup videos. ❤
Ответитьfirst sweater has mange.
ОтветитьI would love to see you're thoughts on that Modern Mens Knitwear SIms 4 Kit that came out like two years ago
Ответитьjewellery pls!
ОтветитьThat polo with the v neck, if it slides or not, depends on the item itself, good ones don’t do that, it’s the style and material that matter
ОтветитьI love this. It’s fashion content without the waste of being a ‘haul’.
ОтветитьI think you can wear the scarf sweater with the scarf pinned with a beautiful brooch in an interesting way and it would look supercool. I don’t like the shape of the scarf ending though, i would preferred it tapered at the end😊
ОтветитьThis was great. Winter boots next please! I really love your commentary x
ОтветитьReformation leaves me totally cold, but I am old. Their stuff looks cheap to me.
COS has some interesting items but they’re often awkward on those of us with curves.
I’ve never seen Ozma before but will need to check them out.
New trousers hot takes!
Ответитьre:oversized deep-V knit Polo sliding down your back - it's because of the construction of the shoulders. Look for ones with saddle shoulders to reduce that movement.
ОтветитьThe line about becoming a parody of yourself is maybe the most profound thing I’ve ever heard in a sweater review video
ОтветитьHannah if you haven't you should check out The Line by K, I feel like that brand may resonate with you
ОтветитьPlease please please do winter pants! :) Love your videos as always.
ОтветитьYou look gorgeous in brown! 😍🤎
ОтветитьYes, yes id love to see all the different iterations of this style of video.
ОтветитьI feel like "noughties" are coming back...already...useless trendy details...
Ответить“At the cloob…” From
Hannah! Here for it. Made my day.
Loved this video and the knitwear! I just came back to say the following: I own a cropped open neck polo sweater (made of lightweight cotton though) and it totally moves toward the back, just as you fear it will. I am considering fashion tape for next summer’s use. Any other tips would be welcome. Thanks for your awesome content ❤
ОтветитьThank you so much for this video! Thanks to you I purchased two items from COS that I know I will love for a very long time: a scoop neck semi-sheer body con sweater that goes with all of my pants and skirts and the cropped shrug-like sweater you're so puzzled with because I just know it works great with dresses when one doesn't want the bodice of their dresses to be hidden by knitwear and is tired of cardigans. I know I'm going to wear these two things all winter long!
ОтветитьSo I just don’t get sleeveless knitwear with a turtle neck or a scarf attached. Like what’s this for? Not cold weather because your arms will be freezing. Not warm weather because of the neck and scarf. Why would anyone want this? Genuinely curious.
ОтветитьTo the babaà lovers: In case you're interested in a little jumper no. 17 hack to roll up the sleeves without actually rolling up the sleeves:
1. Wear a reasonably structured long-sleeve top underneath your babaà
2. Fold the long sleeve seam over the babaà seam so it forms a 2-inch rim (with a width of roughly 2 inches the babaà fabric stays tucked in)
3. Push the sleeve seam up until right above the elbow crease
4. Gently mould the bulged fabric around the sleeve seam. This way you are shaping a kimono sleeve that stays in place (provided you are wearing a long-sleeved top with a snug fit. I find merino wool perfect for this).
Of course, this could be applied to any chunky sweater with dramatically long sleeves.
Hope it's helpful.
I think it’s the model. The sweater makes their head look tiny and strange.
ОтветитьI just ordered Capri Oversized Cardigan in brown from Reformation. Ever since I’ve watched this video, I could not get his cardigan out of my head lol This is exactly the cardigan of my dreams that would work for South California winter, my complexion, and my life style with 2 toddlers (constant risk for marks and stains from spills and little fingers). This color not only trendy, but also my absolute favorite of all time. I waited (very impatiently) for Black Friday sale and voila - 25% off and free shipping saved me about $100. Cannot wait to put this on. Timeless piece that I will cherish. Thank you, your videos and perspective on things are inspiring to watch. You always have substance to what you’re saying, never generic, and I appreciate that.
ОтветитьI agree the blue dress version looked way better, plus the fabric makes more sense in that silhouette. The weird cropped sweater would look good I think with like a flowy white dress? Maybe??
ОтветитьPants and boots and coats please
Ответитьcame here from the coats video which i sat watching while thinking about turning on my air con because it is suddenly quite violently summer in australia. i’m obsessed and would love a boots video.
ОтветитьNot a popular video! I laugh in the face of that... this, coats! It's the greatest! Go off!
Ответить❤
ОтветитьAnyone else thinking about David (Schitt's Creek) and his sweaters? Also those episodes with his ex boyfriend who dressed like a runway version of a train tramp? LOL so good
Ответитьboots next would be fun!
ОтветитьDo you know the brand thinking mu? I think you might enjoy some of their knitwear
ОтветитьAs a knitter myself, I don't really believe all the brands claiming they need to add synthetic fibers to sweaters for shape retention or structural integrity, I never do and my knitwear is completely fine. And if it's really necessary, there are other alternatives, like silk for example. I get it in pieces that get a lot of wear, like socks, or knitted dresses that get heavy and stretch out otherwise, but apart from that they are just saving costs.
