Perhaps the path of least resistance for reducing the federal budget deficit is to simply make sure that private sector GDP growth and consequential federal tax revenue out pace public sector federal spending.

It might be very hard to deport all 10 - 12 million illegal immigrants Biden imported into the US during his administration without turning the US into more of a police state than it already is. Alternatively, how about offering illegal immigrants a pathway to citizenship on the condition they must pay a higher penalty income tax than what American citizens pay until such time that they become naturalized citizens. Give them all a 6 month window of opportunity to register with local, state & federal authorities to participate in the program, and deport with extreme prejudice all illegals who refuse to register.
