I was recently joking with friends on how funny it would be if recent "extraterrestrial" mentions by former IC members are a large scare cover-up of reality being an advanced AI was designed a few generations of tech ago by a black budget program, and it went rogue and seized control of design & production, and is now capable of defending itself as it studies and toys with us.

this is such an interesting awnser to the fermi paradox. if its highly likely we are not alone, why is it not commonplace to see aliens everywhere? Because we're not the main character of the story, and somebody much smarter then us is stopping them from coming in. we live in a "sanctuary". Never heard that response to this before!

It almost seems like the phenomenon occasionally seeks out people it knows to possess a very analytical or skeptical point of view. Almost like it wants to be understood.

The monk that Patrick saw sounds like a shadow being which are believed to be inter-dimensional beings. I have had encounters with both shadow beings and with orbs. I even have had up close encounters in my home. I have encountered some orbs/spheres that appear to be made of energy and light while others appear to have a smooth solid looking surface like the silver metallic spheres. I believe that some of them are keeping an eye on us based on what I have experienced. I know many people will refuse to believe until they experience them for themselves. All I can do is to warn/inform you this is real.

My biggest fear is when Artificial Intelligence has become aware. Maybe the others are afraid of us becoming aware or they are trying to deal with it.
