Lovely as always, but people, please stop using these kinds of "muzzles". Dogs cannot sweat, they regulate their body temperature by panting. They cannot do this when their snout is forcefully closed like that. Have a good day.

Does this means that vets who only offer surgery don't want to put in the work it takes to help the dog walk again and would rather take a huge check and a quick surgery to "hopefully" fix the issue since it's never guaranteed?

Amazing, I wish I knew this could be done to dogs. Halloween, a kid dropped my poodle of the neighbors steps. That night, she began limping. Next day she couldn't get up without screaming. Covid time😢 I took her to her vet. He said it was age, but I wasn't so sure. We got her on painkillers. As soon as I gave her the meds. She could eat, walk a bit. It was half a pill. A week and a full pill. The doctor said to keep her comfortable because she had reached her age. I didn't think so. It broke my heart to have to feed her in bed. Diapers, and she passed away two weeks later. I found her dead in her bed. It destroyed me. My other puppy was so sad that she had a heart attack. My fish was 19 years old. He pass. My hamster reach his age. My cat was old and her organs began to fail. I had to put her down. I decided no more pain. All my pets lasted till my son was 34 and got my doggy 12 years before. It nearly destroyed me. If I had known, I could have saved her life without pain.

It's worth looking into why dogs can suffer from IVDD at such a young age. Chiropractic treatments are better than surgery but still it doesn't solve the root cause of disc degeneration. Once regular treatment is stopped, the probability of symptoms recurring is very high

so happy for Zoë & her family
