when i put a sdcard in the 1st slot i have a soft red light blink and the r36s doesnt works. somebody with the fix?

so im trying to use the latest version ArkOS_RG351MP_v2.0_07312024 but i keep getting a flashing curser after the first couple of reboots during the installation process.
i have copied over the original boot files to the new flashed card, but still have the same flashing curser issue. i read its to do with the system looking for a second ROM card but why is it doing this if it should start up as a single slot set up?

Thank you for this just ordered my R35s and it could not get pass the booting screen, a comment said the stock sd card might be corrupted. I just followed this tutorial and its now fully functional.

Thank you for the Tutorial. Everything works like described except one thing which confused Me. When you show the step where you should replace the .dbt or dbs files you are just replacing one file instead of all 6 files which are contained in the different Panel Folders. After several tries with the different folders i have found the solution by myself :D

I’ve had nothing but trouble with getting this to work. When I use Rufus, files tend to not all appear. When I use mini partition wizard…my roms can be allocated a drive but it won’t stick when you save it. Reverts back to no allocated drive.
My R36S boots up with a red blinking light, not blue. And a black screen…

I did this full setup on my R35s because it suddenly stopped working and my R35s got converted into R36s and I am not able to save state in any games and I wish you could help me for this

found out if you cant find your easyrom folders use Partition wizard to hide and unhide it and change it to another letter (i had to manually update mine)

*I dont know if this works 100% but it worked for me*
Just transferring all of the old ROM folders on to a blank SD card didnt work (None of the ROMS showed up) I went back into advanced options and retold it to use slot 2 for ROMs and then they all showed up after that.

Should i stick with ArkOS or try that other one with the A
Also I want to curate my games

Is it possible to flash ark os to an sd card with a chromebook I was thinking on purchasing this device but I realized the effort I have to put in it before i use it. I realized I dont have the device to do this on so I was wondering can I do it on a chromebook?

I just bought the R36s handheld along with branded SD cards. Can i still follow along with this guide in September of 2024? Seems a little confusing.

I had to download panel 4 and substitute it for the ones i had to work. Its powering on but it then says 'No gamepads detected. Hold A button on your device to to configure it. Press F4 to quit anytime'. Please help!

The ONLY thing that qorked for me. Copy the dtb file from your ORIGINAL card. AND boot file. Swap these 2 fikes into the new ark os card. Youre welcone. You will need to setup the controller etc though. Im not that far ahead. But. Im just glad I got it working.

Hello Joey. I was wondering if you can make a video about how to adjust the controls for each game on r36s. I recent downloaded wwf no mercy for n64. and when i go to play game in the in battle screen the dpad does not work correctly and instead my character does cheering. Cheering is suppost to be with analog sticks and not dpad. Please help.

I just bought a r36s and a rg40xx h, wanted to know if I will be able to swap the Roms SD card between them or will I need to buy separate ones?

My r36s came with 1 sd card is that normal

Hey so I did sum different so I first wrote the ark os on my SD card, and then I copied everything from the original SD card (except the roms) to the new one for the os. Then for the second SD card I just copied the easy roms folder from the original sd card into the rom SD card.

GENTS! I did a wifi update. Straight after, when I turned on my R36S it would show the logo then just turn into a black screen..

I spent hours trying to figure this out and finally got it to work.. My R36S was the single SD card version. I believe with the update, you will need 2x SD cards to make it work.

I copied all the files on a new branded SD card. I put that in the right slot and the old SD card that came with the R36S on the left side and it now works perfectly!

Tip: Just use the dtb files that come with the stock SD card if your having a black screen problem :)

Worked, but I had to copy the rk3326-rg351mp-linux.dtb file from the sd card that came with my R36S. The one you download didnt work.

Hi.. I bought the 128gb SanDisk Ultra SD card in the link.. only it doesn't recognize it when I insert it into the second slot saying that: could not find a fat, fat 32 etc etc... I formatted it with rufus.. what can I do?

I NEED HELP!! I was going to download Roms to my SD card and I did like I was supposed to from a video. I went to options/advanced/switch to main SD for Roms. After I did that all the games do not appear anywhere in my Home Screen. Is there anyway I can just restore everything to how it was from factory having everything back?? Please help

I got the R40S pro and it was fine at first when I got it, a few hours after when I was charging it and came back not some lines appear in the screen with something I can't read in them and won't work and then shuts off.....

Usually i’m not good with this kind of computer work but i will try doing it after getting my R36s next week

To replace the OS card, do i save everything somewhere, then put it on a new sd card? Or just remove it and replace with a higher quality blank?

Awesome guide! thank you! I have an issue though! I got a second micro SD for ROMs and did the non-bootable option, but the console says: "could not find a Fat, Fat32, Exfat, or NTFS based sdcard to mount from slot 2...." when I hit switch to SD2 for ROMS. any thoughts? :) or would it be easier to just flash the 128 as the ARKOS and do a one drive setup?

Says I need to sign in to view and won't let me sign up? Edit the Internet Archive site has been not allowing people to sign in since the 28th october so this is why so this was a waste of time. As cannot even get the romsa now. hopefully I can copy the roms coming with my R36S (which has 128 GB card of Roms) to the RG353VS i have coming as well that I accidently bought with no roms. Idiot lol

Hi sir. Good day. I bought R36s. I try to update it using pc. But when I put back the SD card, its now on black screen. Like literally black. No image or what. But the blue light in the middle of the unit is on. And in the BOOT partition, there's an error message saying DTB LOAD FAIL. Can you help me sir? Thanks in advance.
