Hi Gregg! Great video, Glad to see all is well, ay!
Steve
You sure are having great weather up there, lol. Stay safe and healthy Gregg.
ОтветитьI really appreciate how thorough you are in these videos, lots of very useful knowledge
ОтветитьWhat is the total length of the bed on Mud Dog? Thanks.
ОтветитьHi, I need your help, how do I pull car hauler electric brake trailer with air brake truck? Could you please help me? Thanks
ОтветитьIs that winter time, you have no snow on the ground. Love what you do. Love the new Can Bed you are installing. Keep the videos coming.
ОтветитьGreg your awsome !!!!!!!
ОтветитьGreat I love your videos and the work you do on these trucks sure wish I could afford one. Maybe one of these days
ОтветитьGreg, I think you should have taken a couple minutes and explained how the moose bumpers tilt out of the way so you can flip the hood because I'm sure there are some people who are watching your videos that don't or understand how it all works.
ОтветитьGreg, what’s the air flow and buffeting of air after you remove the fairings? The same goes for the skirting? Looks maybe one thing but I bet the overall air flow and wind noise are major factors for having the fairings.
ОтветитьAs a Prius Prime camper, I doubt I'll ever have an RV hauler, though it is tempting to do something based upon a sleeper cab HD truck. More likely a straight-truck setup than pulling a 5th wheel.
Have you ever built an HDT rig for RVing without a trailer, but as a straight truck more like a Class A or C? A simple version would be using the sleeper as the RV, and the bed as the car/toy hauler.
For my own taste, maybe a 3ft drom box, 10ft of deck for toys/kitchen, 16ft for (15ft 3in) Prius Prime. Enclosed, with side openings like a beverage truck. With the toys and car offloaded, the 26ft of deck becomes a covered patio/kitchen with sides that can be open, screened, or closed. 29x8 roof covered with solar. More if the sides flip up rather than roll up, to also save interior usable height. 29x24 of solar is a LOT of solar, easily enough to charge an EV for using its full 300 mile range each day. With a good amount of battery storage, unlimited mini split usage also.
It could turn into an interesting "Transformers" design for what the setup is with car in vs out, whether to store stuff above/beside the car, etc.
A straight truck setup is definitely not for people who think a 38ft 5th wheel is a tight space, maybe more for "overlanders" who want to bring more toys and hate pulling a trailer offroad. Or an EV owner who doesn't travel huge distances, and wants a really secure setup for their solar charging, and cargo capacity for extra battery storage.
Campers even selling with these interest rates. ??? Ppl sure are smart lol
ОтветитьGreat video! Exactly what I was looking for in education of RV haulers!
ОтветитьI love your channel. What is the shortedt length a hauler can be with a bed?
ОтветитьHow you doing service is bill from Las Vegas. Will a fiat fit up on a h d t
ОтветитьF l a fit on a rig😅
Ответитьawesome information, thank you!
ОтветитьGreat video Gregg. Again, you’ve answered so many of my questions
ОтветитьCould you hook up a 5th wheel camper to a standard heavy duty semi tractor? As a trucker I’m so interested in these types of rigs!! I have never understood the people that do tandems for a Jeep. Tandems are rated for 34k single is 20k. Looking forward to the single vs tandem video. You’ll definitely have to mention the maneuverability advantage of single 😂
ОтветитьInformation is king! Thanks for the perspectives! Surely you've given me a couple things to weigh!
ОтветитьGood job Greg I'm coming to see you soon. Aloha Brian
ОтветитьI'll sponsor a contest and we can give someone a custom RV Hauler.😊
ОтветитьGreat video Gregg, keep them coming.
ОтветитьThank you for framing it out. I now understand the bigger picture.
ОтветитьThe approach this guy talks a lot of sense I think also another way to go is keep your eyes open for buying one already done for one reason or another it didn’t work out for the previous owner so either way I think is smart
ОтветитьThanks!
ОтветитьWhy have a large sleeper (instead of a day cab) on the truck? If your pulling a large RV to sleep in why have a large full setup sleeper on the truck?
ОтветитьGreg, this is the one I'm looking at the real the short one but I like to know how close it is to a 350 dually as far as the length from rim the rim center. Thank you
ОтветитьHow many feet long is the shortest rig? We are looking at a 40’ 5th wheel and we want to make sure we can fit in most campgrounds!
ОтветитьDoes your HDT / RV hauler have to have a sleeper on it to register it as an RV?
ОтветитьI like you comparison of the different ways to convert a semi tractor to a RV power unit. I was a mechanic for 8 years in the 1960's and finally retired driver of 45 years.
ОтветитьGreat info. I am fighting with a desire to get a capable puller (Freightliner M2), my 4x4 Chevy Colorado, and my bumper pull RV to the same destinations.
ОтветитьIf I live in California, would you be able to sell me an HD Rv hauler and be registered here as an Rv and not a commercial vehicle?
ОтветитьWhat if anything do you do to thr smart car so its not overwidth when loaded crossways on bed?
ОтветитьThank you for this video! I seek options for being able to carry a very modified 7.5 lift on 35s 1996 Jeep Cherokee. I have a 45 ft triple axle toy hauler. Your thoughts on the 4 way swivle 25k Companion 5th wheel hitch vs the air ride 5th wheel hitch?
ОтветитьDo the rigs just carry just truck on back butter than have a fifth wheel
Ответить
