My problem is that instead of being fiscally conservative and controlling our spending, Trump has decided that “we just need to make more money”. I’ve seen people do that on a personal level and it never works out. Spending just goes up when you make more money. We need to fix the spending problem.

From the figures I've seen, in 2010 the debt was around $10 trillion & it's crossed $36.25 trillion so far in 2025, if this rate remains then by 2040 the debt will be over $93 trillion. For the same period, 2010-2025, around $11 trillion was spent on DOD, with arms sales being no where near covering even 20% of that expenditure, suggesting this is non-income generating expenditure. If my figures are correct, this means elon has a very important point
