I haven't played dead island 2 yet but this actually doesn't look so bad and using two different weapons at the would have been good so there's more variety to the combat and more freedom for players to get into combat however they want

Im mean the dead island 2 we got now is not so bad but still i wished they make it like original one

Wenn ich das hier sehe verstehe ich den dummen publisher nicht warum das spiel nicht so 2014 schon rausgekommen ist dann hätten wir jetzt schon mindestens dead island 3 und es würde yager noch geben.
Das Material hier sieht sogar stellenweise besser aus wie das spiel von Darmbuster

This looks more like Dead Rising not Dead Island

When you have 2 epic games as example. Half the work is already done. 10 years. And you make a miscarriage of a game thats distroyed by a EA-game (charge you for everything) and Netflix/Disney. Mix. What is only 1/3 the lenght of the other games. You failed to bring the fun weapons in it (morningstar) a shitty ending. And useless legendary weapons becouse the game is done BEFORE you can get them. Atleast kill yourself to end the shame

Despite it's lack of features in it's official release compared to this build, the game is still hella fun. Hope to see a huge dlc in the future. New zombies, new locations, new weapons and bring back dual wielding. Cosmetics are essentially pointless being a 1st person game.

I think what we got on the official release is way better. I don't know why people are so content with mediocre open world games they all feel exactly the same. I get certain elements where taken away that the original dead island and this had. Such as driving and the open world but what we got was a far more focused linear experience that actually runs great which if it was open world it wouldn't. Dead island 2 is a well paced blast imo I love the next level gore system to. It's more semi open world but that's fine imo most of the content in it is actually good rather than half assed fetch quests you would see in typical ubisoft style open worlds. It's a breath of fresh air playing a game that is not the standard open world game every developer makes now. More linear focused games should be praised so we can have more variety in the games we play.

The splitting down the middle animation is amazing I’m not sure why they wouldn’t implement that

I would of been happy to have this game polished and complete 100% at the time. then we could of had a dead island (3) which is officially released as 2 and that could of been set somewhere else tropical or another part of the world. still im a happy gamer for what we have and didnt get.

I love the style of Los Angeles so much. It's not like in reality, rather a walking stereotype of California. That's why I love it. The only bad part that's it's simply a typical boring zombie survival game. Can't decide what I like more still, hyper realistic finished, or the unfinished but atmospheric

Ill admit i miss some of the weapons, the dual wielding, special zeds and locations but we still got a good game out of all this

OG Dead Island 2 is better than the crap we got now, by miles. There was supposed to be a lot more additionally to this.

Anybody who says the aftercut is better than this is on fent. And the only good thing now is the gore system (which 99.9% of people agree on) it's bare bones and empty game beyond that almost nothing to the story with a weird ending. You can literally see pixelated 2D models when looking over a fence on the beach. They didn't even try with this. It was a cash grab.

The good Gore system tries to bring the lackluster world & story together but can't. 95% of effort went towards zombie physics.

Sad we missed out on this.

I like how the zombies have no immunity plus there seems to be a frozen effect style weapon mod and the map seems larger

This may not look the best but it's undeniably Dead Island and that's what I love about it the Dead Island 2 that we got is not very Dead Island there's no human enemies no cars no weather system no nothing like that even the UI looks Dead Island
