With Horizon Zero Dawn we are just simply seeing you know the graphic settings on PC? Just crank them up and sell it on the new more powerful console.

They’ve never gave any possible access to them on console, it didn’t make sense to in the past, but nowadays that there is the expectation or the possibility of that very same game running in more powerful hardware (even on the same gen like PS4 Pro or PS5 Pro) they should have a secret graphics menu, like for example one that only appears if the console asks for it, like having a flag prepared that if the game detects that system flag on boot shows the graphics menu like on PC and that that flag could be enabled in deep settings of the current console or by default in a Pro model or future gen.

And then this stupid necessity of rereleasing the same game, because it runs at 1080p 30 or 60fps medium texture, but current hardware can handle 4K 60fps high textures wouldn’t exist, like it happens on PC.

But that probably never happen even though it will mean most of the older games will give an inferior experience to the players playing them on newer hardware, it bothers me immensely when I have a PS5 and a good PC and most of those older games that I can on both looks like a waste on PS5 when I can play them better, but it’s even worse when it is a PS4 exclusive.

Man, how it bothers me that the Shadow of The Colossus (already remaster) can only be played at 1080p 60 or 1440p 30 on a 4K TV when the PS5 can easily move that game at 4K 60

Suing someone because they copied an idea you had 28 years ago for something you only bothered to patent three years ago is SO Nintendo

Nintendo filed that patent in May of 2024... Palworld was out for a while before the patent was filed. So the patent wasn't in effect when palworld was released.
