Composer Bio:
Composer Brandon J. Rolle’s music combines traditional and experimental techniques to create deeply affective sound worlds. Incorporating psychoacoustics, sonology, and computer programming, Rolle’s work focuses on amplifying dramatic narratives through explorations of perception and deception. His creative output includes orchestral, chamber, electro-acoustic, and intermedia music, which have been heard at festivals and concerts of new music across the United States and Europe.
In addition to his compositional work, Rolle is a conductor who champions the works of living composers, and a dedicated educator with experience teaching both traditional and innovative music classes. He is the founding Artistic Director and Head of Composition at the Impulse New Music Festival, and is Modern Music Writer for NewClassic.LA.
