Yes mine too
ОтветитьClean out the pvc valve or replace pvc change oil at 3000 thousand miles smell the oil for gasoline delution if so change high pressue gas pump.😅😅😅😅😅😅
ОтветитьHyndai and Kia new cars recommends 7500 miles in between oil changes
ОтветитьI’m like nah I’m doing 5k max
ОтветитьAnd also could have something to do with the rings and how things are not the same as what they used to be. I think the piston rings are not made of the same material that cars used to be made of in the 90s.
ОтветитьI have a Volkswagen from 1995 and it doesn’t burn oil
ОтветитьHad a 2018 Kia optima EX 71,000 miles. Burned over 2 quarts in 1000 miles! Owned the car 18 days and took it back to the dealer and got a 2018 Camry XLE hybrid 69,000 miles
Ответить2019 Santa Fe is burning about 1 qt per 1k as well.
ОтветитьHyundai and Kia stay away they all do that! There the same parts and engines. I disarmed those engines they quickly piston slap all the time .
ОтветитьYes my 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe is burning oil about a quart week and is making a ticking sound and I'm finding out that a lot of the same vehicle is having the ticking noise and oil consumption
ОтветитьTry some Restore and Protect Valvoline.
ОтветитьYay, Now it has an oil pan leak.😂😂😂😂😂
ОтветитьPCV valve
Valvaline Restore and Protect
Personally take a sample of the oil when you have 1.5k to 2k miles.
Send the sample Blackstone Labs
For analysis. Report back
Yes, it's boring like crazy and I check for leak, but it doesn't have any.
ОтветитьIts common for modern cars to burn 1qt for every 1000k miles new normal
Ответить2017 santa fe 2 quarts oil consumption 1k.
ОтветитьMy 2019 Kona does every month
ОтветитьYep mine is
ОтветитьMy 2017 Sonata (78,000 mi) used 1.6 (!!!) quart in 1050 miles last month as confirmed by dealership during oil consumption test. They had me to pay $899 for hot section cleaning procedure and now I have to drive 1000 miles and go back to the dealership to see if the issue is still there. 🤞🤞🤞
ОтветитьI've seen them burning oil as low as 14k. About 7-8/10 kia and hyundai I see are burning oil, and come in at least a quart low. No one pays attention to oil maintenance.
ОтветитьSame exact situation with my 2019 optima Kia, dealer said it’s normal for it to burn a quart every 1000 miles 😮 70k miles on the engine
ОтветитьYes. Yes. Yes.! Our 2020 Palisade is burning oil. Hyundai is irresponsible for not addressing this issue. Very disappointed in them. Will never buy a Hyundai again.
ОтветитьChange the pcv valve and start using Valvalene restore and protect oil. My sante fe sport burned 3qts every 5000 miles. Restore andprotect fixed it!
ОтветитьWe have 2021 Palisade and it doesn't burn any oil. Best vehicle we ever had. You need to change oil regularly, you can't just neglect it.
ОтветитьYes, 2019 sonata literally drinks oil. It's crazy
ОтветитьHonda are like that. Myself and my family and owned 2 civics and 2 CR-V’s. However I’d say they start burning that amount of oil at 80k miles instead of 50k
ОтветитьAmazes me ppl still buy hyundais
ОтветитьSo question is does a new engine fix this problem or does the new one do the same in a short time???
ОтветитьMine does also a 2020 burning about the same as you describe
ОтветитьDid the dealer replace the motor
ОтветитьI did some research I’m trying this Castro 5-20 full with (turbo maxx)oil treatment!! It was a 100% better sound. Put on 1000 mil with no loss of oil. Would’ve at least 1 to 1.5 qt I change the oil as it was running I put it in and you can clearly hear the difference good luck hope this helps and works for you guys
ОтветитьYes very possible, I have a 2020, 4 years in still a year to pay off, my transmission blew earlier around May of 2024, got replaced with a new one under PT warranty, was in the shop for about 3 months, then in November my engine was no good needed to do 3 (1,000 mile) consumptions test before Hyundai approving the replacement of the engine, in between the I had two issues that needed to be resolved out of pocket. I’m done with the F car. I’m seeking a buy back or a lemon law case. Best of luck to you my man.. I’m always looking for advice if any..
ОтветитьMines is doing the same thing! Do you all get a warning light that comes on when the oil is low? I get no warnings except for a noise that comes from my engine and when I check the oil it's always low.
ОтветитьHyundai is a good car but their engines burning oil are a disaster. I have 2 Sonata`s 2011, 2013 though using the OEM filter, full synthetic oil and an oil separator helps.
ОтветитьYes my 2018 tucson is consuming oil every 800 miles is missing a quart not only i have that problem but took it to the dealership on 94k and they told me it needs a new engine i have to pay 8k and I said I can’t afford that so im stuck with this car in this condition. This year im planning on taking a part the engine and cleaning all carbon build up and replacing gas filters and cleaning the catalytic converter. Don’t buy a Hyundai you better off leasing it then owning it.
ОтветитьOwn 2017 Tucson with 70k miles and 2020 Tucson with 50k miles - 1qt per 2000miles. I’m very pissed off. Once it’s time to change the cars no more Hyundai.
This issue is going on for so many years with Hyundai and they still can’t make it better.
Yes my 2017 burn oil and I have to change every month
ОтветитьYeah, i have the same problem. My dealership did a 1000 mile test and it is 1qt to 1.25qt and say its fine… but i am burning oil way too fast
ОтветитьYes, my Hyundai Tucson 2019 is doing the exact same thing
ОтветитьIt’s in spec they’ll tell you and send you on your way you’ll tell them again and they will say oil filter gasket is causing the leak they go far and above to spoon you answers to keep you from getting it fixed I.e a new motor there is a class action lawsuit for this problem
ОтветитьStarting this process…
Noticed my vehicle was acting funny…
(Making weird noises and vibrating)
Soo i checked the oil…
Well …. It had no oil…
It disappeared..
Soo we took it to the dealership
Did an oil change and explained what was going on…
They said.. to come back after 1k miles.
Rn im at 200 miles after the oil change and it already burnt a significant amout of oil…my 2021 palisade has 71k miles
Hopefully they replace that engine… :)
And give me a new one.. 😅
Just remember that GDI engines are direct injection that usually cause a lot of carbon in the valves. A cleaning service is recommended every 40,000 miles.
ОтветитьType Santa Fe Sport oil burning fix
ОтветитьHi, does the palisade say made in USA or Korea?
ОтветитьMine is burning oil also its a 2020 and just out of warranty I feel I should trade it in. I'm going to be trying the engine clean they say it shpuld help I guess we will see. BG Chemicals is were I got the engine clean from. Wish me luck 😅
ОтветитьMy 2015 hyundai elantra is burning way more now 😂
ОтветитьI have a 2019 hyundai santa fe 2.4 its burning oil😫
ОтветитьMy palisade is in the shop now. It been burning oil since 70k miles and it’s now in the shop and they are requesting it needs a new engine but they don’t want to help pay for it because it’s out of warranty.
ОтветитьYes 2019 is that normal
Ответить
