So real bro! Great advice 🖤
ОтветитьHey man I tried to call your number the other day and couldn’t reach you. I had a few questions for you.
ОтветитьMy brother’s burial was yesterday. He served in the army. And was a troubled man. And used alcohol to try and deal with his troubles. He had cirrhosis of the liver and He died from his throat rupturing from years of drinking. Please find another way to deal with the troubles in your life.
ОтветитьYou are correct!! I quit drinking 2.5 years ago. I didn't drink much; but I was making changes to my diet for better health. Alcohol has no positive effect on the body for health. Keep teaching!! Thank you.🥩👑
ОтветитьTruth brother! Sometimes you just need someone to shine a light on it. Thanks for being that someone!
ОтветитьFor me it's actually caffeinated beverages and porn. Uh uh. No hate here Nick ... EVERYTHING you're explaining is spot on.
ОтветитьMy Marine brother, you are 🎯🎯🎯
ОтветитьSeen a lot of lives go downhill including suicide all driven by Alcohol. No Thank You.
ОтветитьI got sober for a year once. Left my wife. Clarity of mind can be a good thing.
Ответить30 years for me dont miss it at all
ОтветитьI don't know.... there probably a lot of us who wouldn't be here if our parents didn't drink...lol
ОтветитьThat’s some real shit brother, now I just gotta lay off the sweets
Ответитьjust recently quit drinking, 3 months to be exact. Been in for 9 years and can agree theres a huge culture towards drinking. I hate the fact that used it to self medicate and used to squish the pain. Major Depression + Alcohol = a very bad road. and im finally happy knowing ive made the decisions i made with it and to be honest i wish i never did it. But hey you join at 19 and are very impressionable and wanna fit in you'll adjust to the scene to be a part of it.
ОтветитьWell stated. Return on investment is 0.
ОтветитьI was a hard drinker for a long time and sobriety is truly the way to go, way less inflammation, my sleep is better, I look better and I do not have to worry of ever repeating bad behavior because of it ever again .
ОтветитьI am in the process of stopping myself, seems like my only issues arise due to drinking. I bet everyone reading this can agree they either said or acted dumb due to being drunk and the next day was like are you kidding me now I have to live with this or figure out how to fix this. That is my issue, I love to have a good time but it goes too far then dumb steps into the picture and I end up having to clean up a mess or wonder in the morning what the heck I said or did, and in the world of cell phones and emails and texts that stuff can get ugly fast not like the good old days of just the people who were with you seeing the dumb. LOL I hit a wall with it and had enough, I am done with it to be honest and going off it for good. Honestly it was fun especially when younger and all but as I have gotten older its just exhausting and not fun, the hangovers are horrible and its just not paying off as you said, there is no ROI. So to all those people out there just walk away from it, life has so much to offer, the beer/booze is short term, the issues you get from it are life long............Peace all, and good luck to everyone its not easy but it can be done.
ОтветитьYou're dropping some truth bombs. I really don't say that lightly. I like how you brought up the cultural Work hard, play hard.(hold my beer)..drink harder. Lot's great pointers. Thank you sir.
Ответить4.5 years without a drink here...been a great decision. Wedding receptions and annual company meetings are still challenging...one day at a time.
ОтветитьSo all I have to do to have a better life is give up the one beer I have just before dinner? Gotcha!
ОтветитьAbsolutely Zero ROI…I was a Navy Corpsman for 26 years working a lot of USMC assignments along with NSW duty and a tour as a SERE Instructor. Retired in ‘97 and was a heavy drinker for way too many years. Gained weight, developed diabetes and some mild cardiac issues. I’ve been sober now for nearly 5 years and health is better, have lost approx 90 lbs (more to go still) and life is good. I’m a 71 y.o. singer-songwriter and I still party w/o booze & drugs, etc. I’ve never been happier. Not in the best physical shape due to a lot of serious injuries over the years, but I haven’t given up…haven’t laid down to die, and I plan so much more to do in the coming years. Semper Fi, Brother! ~ ~ ~ “Ol’ Scooter” down in East Texas
Ответитьi drank an ungodly amount in the marine corps. looking back i regret it. its wrong to do and i missed so many weekends because i was too hungover to get out and do anything. i wonder what i would have done if i had that time back. Now i enjoy a drink or two and its cool. i cant stand being drunk and hungover. Thank God i was delivered from being a drunk.
ОтветитьBrilliant Bud. Thank you. Needed to hear this!
ОтветитьWe were professional alcoholics and awesome janitors. I still drink every so often.
ОтветитьI don't drink or do drugs. Feel like I've been drug's. Yes it should be a choice..
ОтветитьI enjoyed alcohol as a young marine but at some point I realized that drinking eventually becomes a chore and makes you a liability because all it does is make you do stupid shit that you have no real control over.
Then I got out and dabbled with weed for a bit and found out it's no better and it just turned me into a couch potato. Lazy, unaware, slow. So finally I stopped everything and it's been great
I came to the realization not to long ago of everything discussed in this video.. I am 25 days strong so far. 💪 I don't plan on poisoning myself any longer.
ОтветитьThis is excellent!
ОтветитьYesterday was my 2-months sober. I had a good career of drinking and a life time of stories, now I'm going to enjoy retirement. It crept up on me and turned into a daily habit. The book This Naked Mind really helped - opened my eye to how I've been duped my entire life.
Ответить"Gelatinous body" LOL
Ответить1974 I came out of the Marine Corps with a semi -serious drinking problem. Spent the next 11 years turning that into a very serious problem, of course using my experiences while in the Corps as an excuse. August 2, 1985 I put it down and got busy rebuilding my life. It wasn't easy, but well worth the effort.
ОтветитьForeigner here, ROI standing for "Return on investment"?
Edit: Never mind next 5 seconds cleared that up. Shoulda watch the video whole before commenting.
Party on fellas

ОтветитьThanks Nick I needed to hear Air Bourne Ranger in the sky ! Thanks for the real shit.
ОтветитьGreat stuff. I'm there, very ready to put drinking behind me for good.
ОтветитьI never had issues with drinking, I stopped it completely at 23 yrs of age, because I saw the folly of it. I could flirt and get chicks without any drop of alcohol, whilst my friends were drinking beer as if it was going out of style, and yet they were scoring nothing at all. That alone gave me an important lesson, which is that that alcohol dosn't help you win in the things that matter (resources, females, family, body, etc.) so why wasting money, energy, and reputation for it?
Thanks Nikos.
2023 and on.. God willing
ОтветитьI’m 8 months sober after drinking for decades, the last one binging out of control. It’s the best decision I ever made. Relationships are improving and the biggest benefit is no crippling anxiety or hangovers. I am living again, experiencing joy and that’s really all I wanted from quitting.
ОтветитьShit when my anxiety kicks it sometimes I kick back a tequila shot, but I know its a bad habit to do. Weening of this habit is work, but its for the better.
ОтветитьHe's not wrong
ОтветитьIt is currently 10/23/23, and I have been sober since New Year’s Eve of 2022. I sought help after realizing I spend close to $500 per month on booze, and I lost both my brother and best friend this year to cirrhosis, so I made a lifestyle change and and currently over 10 months sober. This is with the help of medication provided by my doctor called Naltrexone. If you have not heard of it research it, it has done wonders for me as it literally blocks my alcohol cravings, I couldn’t stop on my own but with this medication I want nothing to do with alcohol now.
ОтветитьIt doesn't help stating inaccuracies because it invalidates everything else you say.
There is a huge return on investment.
Which is why most people drink.
I did the same brother! I quit drinking and been training hard. I feel so much better without alcohol 💯🙏🏼
