DROID Turbo vs. DROID MAXX and Moto X (2nd Gen)

Please compare the droid turbo to the Galaxy Note 4. Awesome video by the way already having me lean towards the Droid turbo the only thing that might change my mind is the note 4 comparison video.

Really wish you had the screen on for both the Maxx and Turbo so we could see how much of a difference the .2" makes.

I'd be curious to see this side-by-side with the 5.5" LG G3 for size comparison.

How come there's no Verizon branding on your Turbo? Does it have Verizon bloatware? Who wants to ship me one in the UK?

If the Droid Turbo had a 1080p display instead then the battery life would be more insane. Performance should be better to. The move to QHD displays isn't necessary for phones under 5.5 inches imo. Give it a 1080p display with on screen buttons and it would be a lot more appealing to me.  

How about comparing picture quality between the Maxx and Turbo.  Take several of the same pics and then pixel peek them as well as overall.

I disagree that you think the phone is taller because of the capacitive buttons.

Maybe it's the battery? I would like confirmation from Motorola that the sole reason the phone is taller than the moto X 2nd Gen is the capacitive buttons...

Can't say I'm a big fan of the capacitive touch buttons on the bottom and like most Droids, the Turbo won't be winning any beauty contests. However, those are some killer specs. I'm looking forward to some full-on reviews and full comparisons to the Moto X 2nd gen, the Nexus 6, and the Note 4. Also, ya gotta wonder, has Motorola finally gotten the camera right? Looks promising so far.

What size SIM card?

Beautiful review and beautiful phone (in my opinion). Droid life, can you do a review on the camera? That's the only thing that most people are wondering now since Motorola's track record with their cameras haven't been so great.

The speed seems a little slow when you took pictures in your previous unboxing video but that could be because it was on 21mp setting.
Can you try different settings, low light pictures, or see if there is any optical image stabilization such as the ones the Sony xperia z3 and nexus 6 have? Please and thank you.

Correction Droid Life  it was a newer architecture SOC Snap dragon 400 which additional cores dedicated to other task so the 400 only did processing while the 600 gpu did the graphical work and the two other cores for speech processing and always on.

One feature that I like the sound of on the X is the chip that lets it respond to custom names "hello Jeeves" to have it do things (like read texts), and that it learns to recognize your voice compared to other people.
Does the Turbo have that same functionality?

The X looks really smooth and stylish whereas the Turbo looks a bit more rugged and plasticky

No Verizon logo on it? Wow, about time they stopped doing that. I see the Nexus 6 also does not have any Verizon logo on it.

Any chance you could do a comparison to the Galaxy S5?  I know they are not similar like the Maxx or the Moto X, but that's why I think the comparison would be helpful. 

does the droid allows you to wave your hand to show notifications just like new moto x?

I would sign up on a 2 year contract if the droid turbo ever came to Australia after not being on contract for 5 years and buying phones outright.

I'm glad Motorola and Samsung I still making phones with hardware buttons rather then on screen.. I can't stand on screen buttons.

i have the maxx hd, i was thinking about the ballistic black nylon.. can u zoom in and out in the camera view on the turbo like you can on maxx hd?   sometimes i think i want to move to apple because apple moved to Skinnier slimmer phone with a  HUGE touch screen now and verizon doesnt even look quite as big and the fatness keeps getting fatter too. =( what makes you want verizon over apple iphones?

And Droid still Eliminates the much desired External SD card slot. They Try to bank on the fact that they give you more internal storage but the option to transfer non essential apps to external instead of bogging your phones internal store of ALL apps is still too important essential to me.
I wont be upgrading to Droid/android anymore unless they bring that back.

Just got a moto x today! The best phone i've ever had!!!

Sony is the smart one from this moment,2600 battery on a 4.6inch screen,i make two days of heavy use without charge...and the phone is awesome

I like the capacitive touch buttons a lot. Why waste screen space with the buttons?

The Motorola Droid Max the Turbo are both very good smart phones Motorola Droid phones all the way for my needs Battery life is the way to go!

Tbh Motorola g(6) play is better actually better.

The Maxx was an amazing phone. I really wish I had a case for it I tested the limits of it's rugged exterior " 😂
