Never heard of him… but nice video!
I’m into Japanese bonsai and niwaki.
I like bonsai… but I love niwaki and J gardens much more. Unlike the much more popular/known practice of bonsai, niwaki and J gardening is rarely taught outside of Japan.

ОтветитьHello
Can we air layer pine trees
Thank you
💖
ОтветитьThanks for sharing video
ОтветитьYou can tell he’s the real deal the way he pronounces the word “combination.” My Japanese friends used to use that word all the time, everything was a “combination” of something in conversations and chatting😆
ОтветитьThank you for a wonderful video!
ОтветитьI used to live down the street from “Ben’s House of Bonsai”. He’d been in Japan during the war, became enamored with bonsai, stayed and studied and returned to his home in Salt Lake City, Utah. He eventually had to sell his beautiful garden shop and retired. He moved to a senior apartment, and later died. His garden stock was largely bought by collectors and a local garden shop, but the buildings were going to be bulldozed. I went and “scavenged whatever I could with the contractor’s permission. I retrieved an iron lantern, lacquered shelf, stepping stones, many tools and supplies. I gave the tools and supples to a friend who is dedicated to bonsai. The stepping stones are in a memorial garden, and the lantern hangs on my balcony, with a view to the beautiful lacquered shelf.
Ben gave me many lessons in pruning, and it remains my favorite gardening passion. He left such a legacy of appreciation for the art, whether it’s a mini bonsai or a larger (but still very short, under 5 feet) bonsai. Such a beautiful art!
Adam, I am a fellow plant lover, the connection I have with the plants I feel you also have. I was lucky enough to realize that taking care of plants was what I wanted to do from a very young age. I’ve been in this field for almost 35 years and I try to learn something new about plants every day. Enjoyed your video, if I could ever get to Japan I’d love to visit your place. Take care.

ОтветитьI wish you well in realizing your dream! You have a passion and inspiration required of a master, AND the rare ability and humility to put yourself through that GRUELING five-year training period. My hats off to you. I do hope the Japanese will treat you fairly and recognize your pure spirit, hard work, and intellect. You have certainly earned my respect.

ОтветитьWe've come to love and enjoy the Zen of the Bonsai Tree...
Though the real meaning I feel I understand through study with my subconscious of 'Bonsai Tree' is a trapped spirit or tree (The ancient art of trapping a tree spirit).. this means that the Bonsai is a powerful tree spirit and may be dark or light.
The Zen comes from the release the tree feels once it's finally freed (Although often this is only temporary) the immense feeling the tree expresses after being trapped for long periods of time gives the look and feel of Zen.
The BONSAI TREE SPIRIT if tormented without care and love will become a dark tree spirit or evil bonsai, while a bonsai treated with a great deal of love and care (a Zen experience of patience) can result in a light spirit of the bonsai or good bonsai.
While I'm not sure if anywhere can confirm this, it still speaks strongly to me when experiencing the bonsai tree or the spirit of the bonsai tree... If anyone knows or has heard this as ancient lore please fill us in more.
P.S. I'm looking at creating a 'European Ash' Bonsai tree as I feel this is the sacred ash from Norse mythology and the world tree 'Yggdrasil' I feel it would make a great bonsai in honor of the Norse mythology this ash tree is found in the region of the Norse (I think... correct me if I'm wrong).
Two ad before the video starts, 45 seconds later two more ads lol 😂. I love bonsai but I won’t be sitting though video packed with ads. I’m out I would not recommend this channel unless you want to be spammed with ads, very little content, shameful 👎💩.
ОтветитьAmazing video. Best of luck to you!!
ОтветитьYou look so calm and gentle through Bonsai.
ОтветитьIkut belajar merapikan bonsai
ОтветитьCulture vulture
ОтветитьI would love to come & learn more bout bonsai trees!😍
Ответить日本人より日本らしい😊
Ответить❤❤❤
ОтветитьHow to apply apprenticeship to Japan to become banzai professional ? Appreciate your response. Thank you.
ОтветитьWow Adam, you have a beautiful place there. Lots of room! Good for you. I respectfully disagree that a deaf person, or someone listening to music cannot be a Bonsai Master. Remember, when one or more human senses are taken away, the others are enhanced.
ОтветитьThere's no climate like Japan's climate. That's the strongest reason, after skill of course, that still the greatest Bonsai trees by far, are still made in Japan.
ОтветитьWhey these people call themselves master?? Not even the Japanese people who advanced the art call themselves that.
ОтветитьReally enjoyed this video
Thank you
Amazing...Thank You
Ответить👍👌🙂
