I think if I used a tray that big and shallow, I'd spill food out of it. I tend to go with a big, deep bowl when on the road. But it's an interesting concept, and might work for people who have liquid-free food all the time. I think I have food with sauces or juices or something stew-like too often for it to work for me.

Good video in the sense of showing your interior setup as things evolve over time.
