it really depends. i have a smurf intentionally lowererd in sr (at silver) and on defense i perform much better then i do in attack. but on my main its kinda the same. attacking requires a more organized team. and even if you get 4 picks and then your team can't follow up after dying. thats a huge diffrence i notice in lower elos and high elos.

im normally a better defense genji since its the other team that has to play aggressive so they could be leaving healers unattended or being overaggressive for easy picks

no genji main is affraid of winston. What they fear is the power of the "support" symetria .

The difference between team wipes and wasted ults is when Genji's kill that supports first, f.e. mercy, lucio, or even zenyatta can counter a dragonblade. Just dash above the enemy support (s) and activate ur ult and try to kill the supports while they're in the WTF moment.

To all Genji mains out there: I need heali- help. I want to play Genji in ranked but I'm very afraid to do so because every Genji I see are just amazing. I have like 9 hours on him and know how to do stuff with him but I'm very scared of developing poorly in a ranked match. Any tips to a fellow Gengu player?

I agree with the part in which you said that not many people attack an ulting Genji.
Since a lot of comp games (I just finished placements and got placed in plat) I see all my teammates run away from the Genji and I am the only one trying to hit him, a couple of times I killed the ulting Genji with ease. Since most Genji's or most people using any character, when they ult, it just feels like you cant die most the time, that's where many people make the mistake. A lot of times soldiers and others ult and it's easy to kill them since they ult at low hp thinking they can get a team wipe and not die. A good tip with Genji is to keep an eye on your health and dont forget to use deflect mid ult when you are getting shot at, that's one thing I have seen loads of people do, they don't deflect cus they think that is wasting their ult. A lot of pros I have seen use deflect a lot of the time mid ult, since its better to get more damage out than getting killed.
