I think it is interesting how much the Chinese care about their reputation. I think it is a human nature tendency to care about what people think of us but the speaker said that making a mistake in public is one of the worse things that could happen to a Chinese person. This is fascinating to me.
ОтветитьI am a Chinese. I feel quite offended when watching this video. The certain circumstances can not represent the whole China. The speaker distorts the image of China. She thinks she knows China well. Actually, she cannot pronounce the sentence she chooses to say in this speech. What a shame.
ОтветитьTOPIC- Cultural difference in business
Spoken about it = 0%
These things are present in every culture...
ОтветитьDid you managed to learn and then understand why Chineese kill dogs and cats in unhumane way? What is the reason for this practice? I will never understand it
ОтветитьI do not think she has made her the point of cultural difference in business. Was this all about her trip to China?
ОтветитьMam, i'd suggest you should watch people from india too. They are working so hard to earn any penny.
ОтветитьMade it five seconds in before my misophonia forced me to turn the video off. For fuck's sake, get the microphone out of your damn mouth!
ОтветитьIndeed the presentation of the video is enthusiastic
ОтветитьYes China in 2000 was a country of the noble and yes culture was superior. Todays China wont have any physical or culture attributes she is talking about. It is very unfortunate to see a wonderful country taking shape of a monster. Hope china comes back to it's age old culture one day congenial for the good of humanity. It looks very far though
ОтветитьEl que subió el video que me diga si el puede leer en color azul
Ответитьmore of china specific ted talk but its written in description - one of the elements of the cultural difference between Europe and China is the importance that is given to relationships. so maybe they need to specify in title also
ОтветитьFancy that, someone from en EU country doing business with the rest of the world .....
ОтветитьThanks for the great insight! Next time please cover Japan.
ОтветитьThe Chinese police have an outstanding warrant on Valerie for being the main cause of road accidents for a lot of Chinese cyclists hitting the tree while looking at Valerie, its true!
ОтветитьMuy interesante la cultura China, ojalá y Dios mediante pueda conocer ese hermoso país algún día. Like si también lo viste subtitulado :v
ОтветитьI have to watch this for a class I'm taking. Honestly, the sound of this woman's lips smacking and spit swishing around is making me sick. I'm sure she has a great message, but my god, I can't concentrate and I'm certainly not about to watch it again.
ОтветитьThis was a horribly titled and misleading video. I learned nothing. thank you for wasting my time.
ОтветитьGood talk, Valerie. What was the purpose of your trip? Originally, you said you went when you were 17, but later you're talking about dealing with investors (not to say that a 17 year old couldn't, but that's quite young🙂). Were these 2 separate trips?
Ответитьshe just has yellow fever , i don't blame her.
ОтветитьI recently just started investing in bitcoin when I learnt it was $60000 through the help of Luiz and just an hour ago I got a profit of $9000 into my wallet.
Ответитьher mandarin is amazing.
ОтветитьLet's be honest you weren't recommended this video, it was an assignment from your college class. But you left more appreciative of the various cultures that exist in this big blue ball, we call Earth. :)
EDIT:
Wow amazing the number of people who’ve come across this since I first watched it lol! Seems a classic business ethics/comms/cultural course vid! 👍🏼
saya kesini gara gara tugas pak:)
Ответитьnice and flow speech
ОтветитьNo wonder this video was about 7 years agao, because some of her views are quite outdated nowadays
i am superized by Dutch people's commercial sense, seems that they can turn everything into a business... this lady now uses what she learns about chinese and chinese culture to teach and guide Dutch businessmen. Dutch organizers and even Dutch universities to how to deal with chinese...
This video was sponsored by China.
ОтветитьThe speaker has definitely showed me a new view on how to recognize culture on a business standpoint, I learned quite a bit from the video such as values of China are very important like the concept Guanxi and harmony. These factors apart of the societies values and everyday living, even though she presented more values I found these to be most important and spread around in many countries.
ОтветитьNo one else finds this problematic?
ОтветитьWow, she is really boring. She certainly has been brought-up differently than I was.
ОтветитьHow does leaving things to the last moment aid harmony? Maintenance in China is a joke.
ОтветитьFor a speaker on respecting cultural differences, she certainly took a poke at the importance of the Bible, the very Word of God that has influenced the entire world since Moses. It continues to be, and will always be, the most important book on the planet, while other books come and go and are forgotten. To be a credible speaker on culture, she should not offend Jews and Christians, no matter how in love with Chinese she is.
ОтветитьInformative. Can someone explain an example of short term vs long term orientation between France and Indian culture
ОтветитьTed talks is about the most patronising thing on YT
ОтветитьThats the subway in Brazil, no need to go to China to experience that hahahaha
ОтветитьThis video was very patronizing!😕
ОтветитьWhat evidence does the speaker have that the Bible has less and less influence in the West?
ОтветитьThis video greatly pleases the senses of me and the great leader, I will personally recommend plus 1000 social credit for this display Glory be to the Republic of China 愿我前进,破我所有敌人,以我有史以来最大文明,1989年广场无所有也。
ОтветитьWhile learning about one culture the Bible has been denounced. The Bible and the Word is very much still alive!😊
Ответитьlong time ago in europe a man in a country was cheated or thought he was cheated by another man in another country due to cultural or customary differences. it happened all over in europe. due to its history europe is a society of contracts. its the same in the u.s.
ОтветитьFirst world mentality thinks that relations are a first level necessity
ОтветитьLes sang quelqu’un peut me dire en français de quoi sa parle, je lui offrirais un tictac
ОтветитьAs a dedicated admirer of Ted, I appreciate her open-mindedness and her commitment to learning. She possesses a strong command of both Chinese and public speaking. However, I must point out a minor error in her expression. When she mentioned the phrase "You Peng Zi Yuan Fang Lai, Bu Hui Yue Hu," she made a spelling mistake, resulting in an unintended meaning. "Bu Hui Le Hu" implies that the Chinese do not welcome guests, but the correct expression should be "Bu Yi Yue Hu," which signifies that the Chinese do indeed welcome guests.
ОтветитьWe have a word for Guanxi in English as well, but it carries a different load in matters of interpretation. We call it nepotism.
Ответитьform my experience looking for jobs in the US, networking is very important...there isn't much difference between what called networking and Guanxi.😂
ОтветитьI actually found it by accident but I enjoyed it
ОтветитьTop n must challengeable subject
ОтветитьWhat's up CCU entrepreneurship students

ОтветитьEveryone has personal experience solving problems. It's good if you can share it to study others. As a result, you know how to solve problems faster and more correctly. It's a good point. If you ask for help, remember you must also provide return help.
