I have bcm and while it is high quality, I love it, I still rather have a colt !!

Both good rifles, but BCM is taking the lead these days and as a company they atleast have a back bone and still sell to honest law abiding citizens. Can't stress enough how we need to support companies that respect the second amendment and respect the rights of people.

Both are good rifles and I have a number of both. I wish BCM would post gas port sizes and would get rid of all the laser engraved logos on everything they put out.

My BCM MK2 16 is so wobbly between the upper and lower and the stock that it looks like a joke. BCM's quality has gone down.

I like the bcm lower and the colt upper receiver because of the b5 sopmod and the colt carry handle

As to answer your question I have said for years you can build a far superior AR type rifle yourself than you can buy a factory rifle. You combine the top of the line parts that matter and relax on the ones that don't matter. Ie the Colt rollmark logo. That is why a guy with the Anderson, PSA, Spikes Tactical etc stripped lower and a blank checkbook is gonna kick your ass every single time. Geissele SSA or SSE trigger, ALG ACT or QMS trigger, B5 SOPMOD Enhanced buttstock, Toolcraft 158C M-16 BCG, Daniel Defense or FNH CHF barrel, White Oak Armament SPR match grade stainless barrel, Sons Of Liberty LPK, KAC or Daniel Defense rail..etc....etc... You already done lost this race like the jock with the Dodge Viper his Daddy bought in The Fast And The Furious Tokyo Drift. You have to take someone else's word for it because you can't do the work yourself to know what is all in it. "You can read the brochure!" is what he said! Truth!!

Current BCMs are better than Colts IMO, Aero Precision M4E1 line is right up there too for best value

I would put bcm ,colt and dd all in the same league as far as materials and bet my life rifles
There are many good other company’s but these 3 care about the details which add up too

colt is same. its mil spec and colt makes the best bcg out there. tight mil spec tolerances so they are very gas efficient and reliable. theyre are the ogs. c158 is the bolt material carrier is 8620

Only thing the BCM lacks is the Colt name. Colt has been around for a long time even anti gun people have heard of Colt. Most never heard of BCM. Other than that they both look similar.

The BCM finish on the used bolt looks better than the new finish on the Colt. 😂

They're both well made and have top end parts. Quality and reliability are the same so go for the best priced version you can find..The End!

Thats a Fake M4 Colt with subcontracting parts. The BCM is a real M4 AR rifle ,with all in-house built platform!!!

I used to do Colt warranty work. That should say enough.

I think BCM should consider pinning their gas blocks. It's the only reason i won't buy one.

Had Colt in the Army and it never failed me. Colt for me.

I've never owned a Colt AR, and the way they've shown contempt for the civilian market, I'm guessing I never will. I do own a BCM RECCE 16. I've owned other AR brands, but none came close to the quality that BCM puts into their rifles.

If your BCM barrel is really 14.5 it's a rare gem because they are usually 14.7 inches long. Measure it. In addition to not being able to read a tape measure or answer phones, you get a shiny silver ejection port door spring an a big ass BCM billboard in white on the upper but it's milspec? Ill stick with Colt or FN

The P&W BCM extended A2 looks MUCH better on the Colt than the obnoxious blocky one on their SOCOM M4.
