Hi, so did you need s digital landing card for Hong Kong? Or can you still do the paper one on arrival at the airport?
ОтветитьHappy Birthday Paige, all the best! Cheers! Nice video.
ОтветитьWell Happy Birthday Paige. You have a good one there in Hong Kong.
Ответитьthis is the part of HK I remember from 1974 "the hills"
ОтветитьThat's certainly a bustling city. Fascinating stuff 👍
ОтветитьThat Goose Island beer is from Chicago. We have a Goose Island in the city with a brewery. Nice tour of Hong Kong.
ОтветитьHappy birthday beautiful lady ❤
ОтветитьWow, what a fun walk. It's so exciting and also hard to imagine how it can be managed so well. It seems like a well oiled hot rod.
ОтветитьConcrete, cars, and people. No natural places. A farm boy like me couldn't stand more than a few days there.
ОтветитьKowloon bay is a good area
ОтветитьWe are of to Hong Kong in September for one week , my wife is Chinese and we live in the U.K. she always wanted to visit Hong Kong .
I have spent hours researching hotels and areas and have decided upon kowloom and The Harbour Grand Kowloom hotel , There is a very good seafood buffet there also and we both love seafood .
You haven't seen the harbor or gone to Hong Kong island. Also there is Victoria Peak and the Lantau buddha to see. Adventure out away from the markets.
ОтветитьHappy birthday paige🎉
ОтветитьGreat video, brings up memories of HK
Ответить❤
ОтветитьTrain charges processing takes time it shows up days on the card in Singapore. HK is probably the same.
ОтветитьChuck I haven’t been to HKG in years but seems you’re missing out. Take the MRT to the harbor. Breathtaking views at either side. Don’t miss Victoria Peak.
Happy Birthday Paige!!!🎉
Happy Birthday Paige. Trust you enjoyed Hong Kong. Cheers
ОтветитьInfo for next time...maybe. In Central all those hills you were walking up you were right underneath the world's longest outdoor escalator, it brings locals up to those higher levels. Fun to ride it up and see the city and get off of it when you see an interesting area you want to explore
ОтветитьLooks like your Thailand is falling apart for ex pacts ...
ОтветитьHappy Birthday Page🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
ОтветитьHappy Birthday Greetings Paige. Thanks for an interesting walking tour of Central, Chuck. Interesting Street names.
ОтветитьChuck, in your video I don’t see much trees, I think notice just two palm trees 🌴this video. Also, are there any police officers around? ❤️🇹🇭❤️🇹🇭❤️🇹🇭
ОтветитьYeah the TDAC the subdistrict I just guess as it did not have one I needed but entered the hotel and address even if it did not match up. It worked and got confirmation right away maybe the 3 days before you travel is just in case or maybe for new visitors as I have been to Thailand 7 times now so don't if that makes a difference.
ОтветитьThe area you’re staying in (Jordan/Mongkok) kinda sucks. Take the Star Ferry across the harbour from Tsim Sha Tsui to Central for great view of HK island. Go up the peak and then go to Stanley on the other side of HK island
ОтветитьI just came in yesterday after a month working overseas. They did not even ask for the document with the QR code. It must already have been linked to my passport. I also had to do the additional medical check as I work in a Yellow fever country. No issues and straight through. Very easy. Immigration was very quiet though. Not many farangs enjoying low season peace and quiet.
ОтветитьHappy birthday Page
Hope you having a great time in HK havent been for many years but a great city to visit.
Chuck I was told by Nakon Phanom immigration that if I have a Multiple Entry Visa I don’t need to do an DTAC. I have a Non-O Multiple Entry visa. That’s just the information I got two weeks ago. I have just looked online and it seems like that information is incorrect but it made sense to me at the time because I was asking because if I just decide to go to Lao for one or two days how are you going to do the DTAC 3 days in advance. Well it looks like a phone call or visit to immigration is in order to clarify.
ОтветитьHappy Birthday Paige
ОтветитьHi Chuck, how much was the beer there?
ОтветитьThose Hong Kong hills …..where everyday is leg day😂
HBD Paige🎉
I was just a kid when we lived in HK (we lived in Kowloon Tsai) in the late '70s. Dad was posted there with the British Army. Obviously one of the major changes was the handing back of HK to China in 1997 and there have been a lot of changes since that time.
Some of our fondest memories:
Seeing the planes (VERY CLOSE) almost skimming the rooftops as they came in on approach to Kai Tak airport.
What we referred to as Stinky's Market, lots of traders and food stalls.
Aberdeen harbour and the floating restaurant.
Star Ferries.
Lion Rock and Ocean Park.
Dragon boat races and Dragon dancers.
It was a unique place back then and more than 45 years later, we still reminisce and talk about our time there with much fondness.
The authorities got rid of the market stalls and traders, as well as a lot of the freedoms previously experienced after enacting various laws, and there has been quite a lot of unrest and protests prior to these.
Happy Birthday Paige.
ОтветитьHappy birthday Paige! 🎊 🎉 Thanks for showing us Hong Kong Chuck.
ОтветитьHong Kong has everything, but you need to know where to go. European, and American, and South American, and Mexican, and French, Spanish et al al
ОтветитьI've only been there twice, second time I was presenting at a conference in Zhuhai, took the ferry early in the morning and then back late in the evening stayed in Hong Kong. But when I think of Hong Kong I still think of the old William Holden movie with Suzy Wong. **and all the heads of the statues for sale at the shops that look suspiciously like the ones missing in Cambodia at Ankor Wat.
ОтветитьThat ding ding is an old Tram
ОтветитьHey guys i think you got your stepps in
ОтветитьI hate to see everything going cashless! Obviously, China/Hong Kong ahead of this control. CBDC conditioning and roll out very soon, in all countries. 😢
ОтветитьHappy BDay
ОтветитьThank you for sharing your trip. It will save me money in the future. I will not be going there. 😅
ОтветитьHappy Birthday Paige!
ОтветитьHappy Born Day Paige. Enjoy the whole month🎉
Chuck, thanks as always for the virtual adventures
Nice to see you finally both went to Hong Kong. Hope you both have fun 😊
ОтветитьGday Chuck, I spent a lot of time in HK in the 90s. Living in Thailand now. Great memories watching your vid of the walk around. It’s still the same, great town.
ОтветитьHello ❤Thanks for sharing ❤
ОтветитьEnjoy ❤
