Nabbed Omanyte on my third try. Sometimes the advances go 1 out of sync when you mash A to talk to the fossil guy, unfortunately, but thankfully it's a fairly quick hunt once you get the initial seed. Are you planning to do a guide for Bebe's gift Eevee?

Finally took the plunge and tried executing one of these, managed to get Shieldon second try (after panic clicking one second too early the first time...) - can't believe it was quite so easy! The race is now on for me to get shiny versions of all the legendaries before the end of the month, still on 1.1.1 so need to get everything before the Darkrai event ends. Will be blasting through all the fossil mons tonight with the menu glitch, so thanks very much for these guides!

Thanks for the great guides for RNGing you make it seem so simple😁 don't suppose its possible to rng poké radar patches is it ideally wanna go for a high IV ditto or could use it for 1st patch shinies for the lols

BTW This also works for gift pokemon like the Eevee from Bebe (set NPCs = 1, and modulo % = 2).
Also for Mew/Jirachi (stats only not shininess) with NPCs accounted for (the modulo % = the number of NPCs +1). I'm not sure about Happiny and Riolu eggs, since you may need your TID/SID for those but it should work.

I've been playing around with going into the grand underground and have been trying to figure out how to calculate the advances using blinks to hit targets. However, I can't seem to find a consistent way to re-identify advances just before entering. Is there a way to mess with the config_camera.json settings on the right hand side to track advances? It seems like this would also be settings that change per area given the semi-random NPCs that spawn in each time when in the grand underground. What if I were to walk the entire section of the underground to find the NPC tally and add that to the number of NPCs? What other things cause advances in the grand underground?

I wanted to ask if it's possible to do a video on Spiritomb using this method?

Hey jefe, I wanted to ask you for help because it doesnt work for me. I always Hit my target advance exactly but i just cant get the shiny. I reidentified until I could Get my target advance. Then talked instantly to the person, deactivated +1 menu close and reidentified again and pressed exatly the right advance. I dont know what I'm doing wrong

does anyone knows why the program just stop at 40/40 the screen freeze and I dont get my seeds? :(

What do I do if my frames go out of sync when I talk to the scientist to get the fossil?

For gift pokemon/fossils do you need ur SID? I know for Legendaries you don't need it.

Man im having an internal struggle as to whether or not to actually do this. On one hand, arceus was really hard to actually execute and so it felt rewarding to get the shiny. On the other hand, the pressing A at the right time comes naturally to me as a musician, its just basic rythm. So it feels like im just giving myself a shiny here
