I was really rooting for them! I was so excited!

I'm SURE & CONVINCED that there's many 4th and 5th gen Asian kpop idols that had plenty of controversies like that but were checked and protected by their companies and the industry in general

Praying my girl sylvia is scandal free, btw she was also in shinwha she was part of their big global audition Next u and passed the 2nd or 3rd round but she left bc once again shinwha was being unprofessionnal (i talked to her on insta before)

I’m rooting for the girls ❤❤, the situation is messy af. But I’ll stand with them. I’m pretty sure also they left NA cause the cei is a pdf file

I think they should add 2 more members to replace the 2 that are left. I like a good core six, and i want to support them so bad, hopefully they can debut!

It's just a hot mess all around. The fact that a few of the girls came from Shinhwa Entertainment is also very suspect given the way they were moving with GLX

I'm latino and your family being black means nothing. My whole family in my mother's side is black and I'm white. Because it's about how you look.

I honestly feel like a lot of this is due to not having a good company that could have supported them. I remember reading about before they accept a trainee they dig into their history and good companies can wipe out stuff off of the internet. I also feel like global groups/groups with non-asian/east-asian members can really succeed if they have a competent company, not one that is broke and will hire anyone.

This is too much for people, and it will likely not get any actual companies to look at taking them in. The girls should go their separate ways, it's messy but very entertaining 😭😭

Everyone and their mama is going to be trying their hand at a global group moving forward because that's where the money and influential market are currently set in. All these accusations and situations are things non global groups have also been through, and many have made it out not even having international members of that demographic in their group that they offened😂. Don't know Deva and arent checking for them honestly, but, it sounds like their a classic case of "all gas no breaks" We're seeing the fall out from no proper management or coaching to "meet" a deadline (who can cash in on the global market kpop STILL doesn't fully reach that they see XG and Katseye are slowly but CORRECTLY making a splash in.)

I was literally looking for someone’s coverage of them cause yesterday I came across w story on mei and her being anti black, then another member who is black but fetishized asians ot Koreans. I needed to know more so thanks for the video and research!

For me since I’m Afro-Latina/Caribbean, usually to be considered Afro Latina you have to have either both non mixed black parents or a mixed half black parent and a full black parent of latin descent. Mixed people in the Latin/ Caribbean have their own category just like white, black, Asian, and native. When don’t follow the drop role (like in American). Until she show proof it’s gonna be hard to believe her plus black people aren’t the only poc that can have dark skin for example Indian Asians, or even indigenous natives. Some people when hit with racism allegations lie about the race to avoid backlash. Even if the racism allegations are resolved this group still is gonna have to still deal with assault allegations since one of the members was in a fight. Situations like this may cause the to K-pop industry to push back on global artists.

Not sure if anyone's brought this up, but De:Va has actually left Na Entertainment. They're currently independent, so whatever statements they've released is just the members addressing the controversies.

I was rooting for them because ive seen clips of them and they are talented. The girls who did nothing wrong shouldnt be thrown away because of someone elses mistakes. They should just add another girl and still debut imo (maybe under a different name and under a company since they dont have one right now) because i heard karine, sylvia, and natasha were scandal free.

People as always blaming anything and everything on the company. This time it is the trainees' own fault for doing stupid stuff. And most idols are trainess since a young age and they dont leave such dugital footprint behind. This group seems to not have a good future ahead. I feel bad for the other girls.

Yeah what kind of kpop idol finds kpop interesting enough to become a kpop idol so unfathomable😱 14 year old girls being 14 year old girls is illegal too. People don't grow actually a silly account from middle school totally accurately defines a person in their 20's. If that was true millie bobby brown( who actually was saying problematic things unprovoked, nothing silly about those and not simply having an average pinterest board like the girl in question) would have run over several gay people already with her car

I feel terrible for the other girls imagine being in drama that isn’t even about I hope they debut under a different label or become a soloist. I didn’t like she said “it’s the same as saying Korea boo” definitely something! And the blasian seemed weird because I understand people liking a Kpop idol but talking about having a baby with them is strange and not normal not trying to be rude but I hope she has gotten help😅 (might edit this comment later) but may god Bless the other girls!

The reason why 4 members are from Shinhwa is likely because it is a common practice to shift trainees to a different company if the original company no longer wants to continue with them. Multiple idols have said this happened with JYP on the Dive Studios podcasts. When under contract, but the agency wants to bring in new trainees and let go of some of its old trainees, it 'transfers' them to a different company or terminates the contract.

So I'm guessing all 4 girls were offered to sign with Na so that they could debut. Shinhwa has quite a lot of global trainees anyways.

can they stop calling them global before they have even started nobody knew them until the controversies so i dont know but kpop lately has some wierd fetish with foreigners debuting not saying they cant but the chances of them going big is slim in an already overcrowded industry. its not something id pick personally but each ot their own best of luck hope they are made of thick skin cause once they go popular they cant get any sort of privacy back and they cant get their training years back either. as long as they dont end up like blackswan did i dont think they are too bad of an idea theyve just not been given a good headstart at a weak af agency which seems like a typical scam over there

it also makes u wonder how many foreigners fall for rhe dream to be idol thing only for their agencies ceo to wind up in prison thats nuts but id expect it at this point u dont know who ur signing for or if they even have a proper plan for success for the group
