So ... Slovenian reporter Toni Gruden for RTV Slovenia now did a very comprehensive paper on what actually happened yesterday with Jumbo Visma. Here is my short version of that.
Just before the second to last summit TJV was the last to gear up for the long descend. And then the problems started. First of all one if the riders dropped one of the dry new coats, so they were missing one in the first place. Then Primož had a problem zipping up his coat. Rather than risking a bad cold or something he fixed his problem in a minute or something.
Right at that time, probably on purpose, Ineos Grenadiers started charging like hell down the hill. TJV and Primož were pushed to the back of the peleton that started breaking apart.
So they pushed like hell all the way to the start of the last climb to get Primož back to the front of the peleton. They were all burned out because of that at the start of the climb.
The rest is history.

roglic should have simply thrown away his jackey like what kelderman did in stage 18 of the giro ..
