The great commentator Beau of the Fifth Column had a great point about this- she's not trying to give Trump pointers. She's not trying to help him. She's trying to help himself.

It's very likely Trump will lose, and lose big in the election. So Haley is coming out now and saying "This is what he should have been saying. This is what he should have been talking about." Because once Trump loses, she can then come out and say "If he listened to me, he would have won." Which then sets her up as one of the "heads" of the Republican party coming out of this election.

I didn’t expect much from Nikki Hayley in the race. I always knew I was going to vote democrat but when she finally had the balls to call out Trump as unfit for office. I applauded her for at least taking a stand. When she left the campaign I understand why. She knew she wasn’t gonna win and that’s okay. But I lost all respect for her when she endorsed Trump. She didn’t have to endorse anyone she could’ve stayed away and just sit back and watch. But no she had to fall in line. Kiss the ring like so many have done. This man called her names and insulted her husband and yet that wasn’t enough to sway her away from saying yes to the cult leader.

Nikki Hayley is one of those people who showed their true colors in the time when they needed to be strong. Here’s something republicans don’t seem to get. One day MAGA will fall by people remember who you were in that time when democracy was on the line and you just wanted to give it all to Trump because gotta fall in line.
