I thought that a glass made object is a work of art that doesn't have to have a utiliane value. The object that was made here look like it has value to hold water. There must be an eayser way to make that object without so much labor involved in just a bueatiful contaner.

I choose glass casting , because it is more like a sculpture object than a glass blowen object.

Interesting to know how much work goes into a piece like this and how many people are involved. It's truly exquisite and a craft to be recognized.

He is able to paint stories into the glass itself. Incredible work.

As much as I dislike Dale Chihuly's work, the fact that Jim Mongrain is head gaffer in his shop should tell you just how good Jim is.

Just one pair of those Tedeschi jacks, if you can find them, can command over $1000. When he was still alive you could only guy his tools right out of his hands.

Since the early 90's, my woodcarving shop has been right next to Pairpoint and down the road from the Sandwich Glass Museum. Years ago, I used to make blocks and paddles for them out of apple wood. Their creations still fascinate me to this day.

I reckon there are alot of similarities between blowing glass and watch children (ref: life paths for career).

Kids, and trying to create with glass - yeah, similar activities (for difficulty and team work) i can see that challenge for temperature control and keeping it moving.........
