Port Aransas has Nothing to do with shipping. It is a tourist town. Ya beautiful island town turned to garbage over the last twenty years by the idiots that found a beautiful place and proceeded to destroy it just as there kind does everywhere they go.

Absolutely my favorite video ever!! Such memories! I've spent a life time sailing and motoring on vessels large and small all over the US and Caribbean. It never gets old. Great drone footage, and Carrie's photography is the BEST. Unexpected-the yarn bombing. Such fun. Please stay awhile longer in this area.

Port Aransas has been my 2nd home for about 30 years and visiting since I was a child. Watched it grow from a little, out of the way fishing village into a huge vacation destination. Next time you're there, go to the backside of the island to watch the ships come and go. Due to the narrow width and depth of the channel those big ships displace lots of water that create amazing tidal waves in the shallows along the back shore, in the area known as Charlie's Pasture.

Port A is amazing. St Joe's is owned by the Bass Brothers. There is a private access dock in the town of Rockport. I noticed your Coast Guard sticker. My brother retired from the Coast Guard 5 years ago. He started in Hawaii on the Jarvis. They travelled down to South America and few time to Japan. They captured one of those drug smuggling submarines. The two guys inside were bolted into it from the outside, he said the smell was horrible when they let them out. I guess they were lost and stuck inside for a couple weeks.
