This matter urgently needs to be addressed, have been visiting shimla since childhood but the way these new building has changed the place it definitely isn't for good. We need more sustainable buildings & less of these eyesores that are not even built well & are dangerous. Some amazing form of work from these local boys👍👍. Would appreciate if you can share their details here please.
ОтветитьHope more and more people follow this eco friendly approach for home building.thanks
ОтветитьWe need to urgently formulate laws concerning new constructions/dams in all Himalayan states. There's a reason why ancient structures from JK to AR have withstood centuries of floods, landslides and tectonic activities. Even if they failed, they did in a way where human loss was minimized.
ОтветитьV encouraging to see design that is sustainable, resilient, beautiful, comfortable, and affordable!
May the call for big picture planning be taken seriously -- sometimes it's not the construction of the houses, it's where they were located and damage done to the environment, such as disruption of natural waterways.
Keep up this excellent reporting!

Ответить"Nothing wrong with a material" that is made by smashing up the Himalayas into dust and heating it to extraordinary temperatures? We need the Himalayas to attract clouds and bring the monsoon. The monsoon is drying up extremely fast. As long as we desertify ourselves according to Abrahamic ideologies of "the more you desertify and tar yourself, the richer you become," the more we're going to starve. The World Bank is aiming to turn the subcontinent into a place where skeletons litter the Sahara that was once the Himalayas.
Besides, the cement just crumbles after months. You can see big chunks of it coming off from even the most fabulously expensive building.
